You woke up with a headache. You got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. You looked in the mirror and saw that you had dark circles and puffed eyes. "Wow, I went too far last night", you thought. You didn't realize but you drank quite a bit, you smiled as you thought of the night before.
You took a shower and got dressed. You went to the kitchen and made coffee. While you were in the kitchen, your phone rang, it was Patrick.
-Good morning, Y/n. -Patrick said. -How are you?
-Hey, Patrick. -you said. -Right now? A little hangover. What about you?
-Better than you, that's for sure. -he giggled. -Hey, so we have a meeting with Puma, they love you. -he said and you jumped out of excitment.
-Are you serious?
-A 100%!
-When's the meeting?
-We had it for tomorrow but they just called to see if we could go there right now, they're going to be in town only today.
-Yeah, totally, text me the adress.
-I'll see you in a bit.
You poured your coffee into a coffee thermos to keep it warm, grabbed your keys and bag and ran outside to get into your car. On your way to the meeting, your phone rang several times but you didn't answer, you were focused and excited.
You arrived at the place and saw Patrick outside waiting for you. You were nervous but also excited. You knew this could be a great opportunity for your career.
Patrick walked to the front desk and told the receptionist that you were there for the meeting with the marketing team of Puma. The receptionist guided you to a meeting room.
You met with a group of people from Puma's marketing team. The group consisted of a marketing director, a product manager, a photographer and a stylist.
After a long talk, your nerves went away but the excitment stayed, you were loving everything.
-I guess you go to a lot of races. -the product manager asked.
-Yes, I try to attend all races. -you smiled.
-That's great, not only will you be supporting your brother, you will also give vision to the brand. -he said.
-We'll start with a photoshoot, Alan will stay here a couple of days more to do it. -the director said. -And Patrick has the contract, he read it and approved it so you just need to sign it. -Patrick handed you the contract and a pen and you signed it.
-Great, thank you for this opportunity. -you said.
-Welcome to the Puma family.
You walked out of the building feeling very happy, you and Patrick hugged and jumped around.
-Thank you so much, Pat. -you said.
-It's literally my job. -he smiled. -I'll see you tomorrow for the photoshoot.
-See you then. -you said and took out your phone, you called Charles. -Hi!
-Hi, sister, you sound happy. -he said.
-I am, I have big news, are you up for dinner? I'll tell Carlos too and tell Charlotte.
-We are! But Carlos isn't here.
-What do you mean?
-He went to Madrid. -he said and you felt disappointed, you wanted to tell him the good news too. -He didn't tell you?
-He called but I didn't answer because I was on my way to a meeting.
-I don't know when he's coming back but you should call him, where do you want to go for dinner?
-I'm not sure yet, I'll text you. -you hung up and called Carlos. -Hey.
-Niña, hi, I tried to call you but it went straight to voicemail.
-I know, I'm sorry, Charles just told me you are in Madrid.
-Yeah, I'm going to be here for the rest of the week, it was last minute but my mom called and she misses me so now I'm here. -he giggled. -What's up?
-I wanted you to invite you to dinner with Charles and Charlotte because I have some news but I'll tell you when you get back. -you smiled.
-What news? Tell me now.
-No! You'll have to wait.
-When I get back I'm going straight to your place so you can tell me.
-Okay, Carlos, enjoy Madrid.
You saw a man outside the entrance of the building and realized it was Alan, the photographer. You approached him, he was tall, thin with dark hair and blue eyes, so blue like the ocean.
He was looking at his phone with a frustrated expression.
-Is everything okay? -you asked.
-Oh, hi. -he said. -Yeah, I don't remember which way is the hotel I'm staying at.
-I can give you a ride. -you offered.
-I don't want to bother you.
-Hey, we can get to know each other better, since we're going to work together.
-Okay, then let's go. -he said and you walked to your car, you started it and drove to Alan's hotel. -Thank you so much, I don't know what I would've done without you.
-It's nothing. -you smiled. -See you tomorrow.
-I was wondering, would you like to grab a drink at the hotel's bar? Or maybe a coffee? -he asked. You were surprised by the invitation, you weren't expecting him to ask you out but he seemed nice and he was cute.
-I would like that. -you parked your car and entered the hotel.
-So coffee or drinks? -he asked.
-Coffee sounds good.
You went to the hotel restaurant and were assigned a table, you ordered your coffee and a few minutes later they brought them.
-Have you worked with a brand like Puma before? -he asked.
-No, not really, only local brands so this is a huge deal for me.
-It's gonna be fun, I promise.
-How long have you worked for Puma?
-Like 4 years ago, I love it, I have been able to work with a lot of people, I haven't met your brother but I met Hamilton, great guy.
-Ow, Lewis, he is a great guy.
-You're friends with all the drivers? -he sipped his coffee.
-I could say that, yeah.
-Who are you closest to?
-Charles, obviously, Carlos, Pierre, I mean I'm close to all of them but more to my brother and Carlos, I am with them almost all the time. -you said. -Have you ever been to Monaco or is this your first time? -you asked changing the subject, you didn't want him to see you just as "Charles' sister".
-No, this is my first time. -he smiled. You noticed he had freckles on his nose. -I hope you could be my tour guide.
-Aren't you staying until Thursday? -you asked, "Is he flirting with me?", you thought.
-Yeah, but I could stay more days. -he paused. -I'd like to know the city better. -he smiled.
-Well, if you can make that happen, I'll see you on Friday too, I want to spend time with my brother but on Friday I'll be your tour guide.
-Perfect!
-Alan, this has been lovely but I need to head back. -you said. -See you tomorrow for the photoshoot.
-I was going to ask you to stay longer but we are seeing each other tomorrow anyway. -he stood up. -Have a great evening. -he kissed your cheek, you felt your face turning red.
