The love that hadn't been thoroughly experienced was ruined to pieces by the restraint imposed by Huo Junxian.

Gu Siyu expressed her feelings, "You actually don't care whether I love you or not."

Huo Junxian also expressed her feelings. She raised her gaze, with a sad and somewhat sinister expression, "You're unwilling to marry me."

They calmly looked at each other.

Fair enough, one statement each, and now they were about to poke at each other's wounds.

The April wind wasn't too chilly, but the two of them felt wounded.

Gu Siyu expressed herself in a somewhat incoherent manner, "Let's get married now. I want a cruise wedding, invite many people, and then I'll walk down from the cruise, dazzling in the spotlight."

"Okay," Huo Junxian agreed readily, following up with, "As long as you want, we'll have the grandest wedding. You can do whatever you want. Everything I have is yours."

She walked over, held Gu Siyu's hand, and earnestly kissed Gu Siyu's fingers. "I'll also prepare a ring for you, wear it on the middle finger. What's mine is yours."

Her fingers squeezed into the gaps between Gu Siyu's fingers, holding them tightly.

Continuing the conversation might lead to an argument. Huo Junxian was so good, so wealthy; not marrying her now would be a lack of appreciation.

Gu Siyu began to feel tipsy; she had drunk a lot that evening. Huo Junxian held her hand, and knowing that she shouldn't cause a scene, she followed Huo Junxian as they left.

It wasn't until they were in the car that she pinched Huo Junxian's chin, pulling at her neck, saying, "Huo Junxian, you have almost tamed me? Are you happy?"

"Hmm?" Huo Junxian, though pinched, didn't reprimand her. Her voice made a muffled sound, as if she either understood and responded with a 'hmm' or hadn't heard clearly and used 'hmm' to brush it off.

"I used to be so bad. I was really annoying. People would dislike me just by hearing my name. They didn't want to listen to anything I said or my stories. Because, because of you, I gradually became better, turned into the kind of good person I hate the most now. Do you know?" Gu Siyu laughed uproariously, intoxicated. "I'm becoming domesticated."

Huo Junxian was momentarily stunned. She gently trailed her fingers on Gu Siyu's back and said, "You're not a small animal."

"I am, I am!" Gu Siyu insisted. "But I'm a highly advanced type of human. Huo Junxian, don't you know that enclosing someone is a way of taming them?"

She looked at Huo Junxian, her fingers landing on Huo Junxian's face, pinching and touching. "Sometimes, I feel like I'm special in your eyes, so special that I'm the only one in the world. Sometimes, I feel really stupid because, in your eyes, anyone could replace me."

Despite it being a happy occasion, why was she so distressed?

Was it because she was getting married without experiencing love? Or was it because she hadn't prepared the ring in advance?

Or was there something else making her so upset?

She had just thought that things were going well with this person, that they could continue to be happy together. Even if she had fewer connections with others due to being bound to her, she could accept it. How did it turn out like this?

Perhaps it was her own inability to persist. She couldn't hold on any longer, repeatedly unable to be ruthless. Now, she seized on Huo Junxian's mistake and quickly exaggerated it.
