*Chapter 21: A Song and the Reason*

*Ariel's POV*

There wasn't a dry eye in the room as Liam told his story. When Liam left we all stayed silent, not knowing what to say. A moment later, Niall came back out and got something out of the mini fridge before he realized that all of our eyes were filled with water.

"Wow, he must have told you some story to get you that upset." Niall said to no one in general.

Well all just shook our heads before going to bed. I can't believe he's going to be that rude to Liam. He doesn't even know his story.

*Liam's POV*

*The Next Day*

I was only asleep for about two hours before I was woken up by crying. I realized that it was Amanda crying and that Niall wasn't doing anything about it. So I slowly got up out of my bed, and searched th bus for Niall. I soon realized that we were stopped at a rest stop and that everyone was gone, leaving me with Amanda. I went back into the bunk area to take care of Niall's child.

"Hey, Amanda, are you okay?" I asked her.

"I want daddy." She sobbed.

"Daddy will be back in a while. Can you tell me what's wrong?" I asked her.

"I had a nightmare." She replied.

I didn't know how to respond, until I realized how I could help.

"Do you want me to sing you a song?" I asked her .

She nodded and continued to sob. I picked her up and walked her out to the TV room, where I spotted Niall's guitar on the other side of the room. I put Amanda down on the couch, grabbed the guitar and sat right in front of her. I began strumming and soon I began singing.

"Oh, misty eye of the mountain below

Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls

And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke

Keep watching over Durin's sons

If this is to end in fire
