They had booked an SUV from Delhi and after two hours of non-stop driving, they had stopped at a petrol pump in Meerut for refueling. The mood in the car had been pensive, so much so that Ranbir felt like he was travelling with three octogenarians (80 - year olds). The silence had made 2 hours seem like two days. Not that he didn't understand their individual circumstances, but their seriousness was seriously wearing him off now and he decided to get down to action.
