I laid next to my dad.

the house 

spraying sand 

everywhere.

with my dad, and

watching the stars,

while the salty waves chilled our toes.

Suddenly he cried

holding his side.

I reached for the phone.

trembling hands, I dialed the number:

"There's something wrong with my dad." I replied.

I gave her 

our address and then ran back 

to my dad.

"Aqua..." he groaned.

I took his hand.

"Shhh. I'm here." I said as tears ran down my face.
