Mamoru and Subaru were waiting in their rooms for the inevitible.

Subaru: [....so, who do you think she will go after first?]

Mamoru: [Probably you, since you're the one that looks like an adult.]

Subaru: [...So, maybe she won't try to kill yo-]

Mamoru: [She will try to kill me too. The amount of the smell on me is almost as much as Jealous Mom.]

Subaru: [ah, is that so..........Rem is going to try and kill me.....]

Mamoru: [....yes?]

Subaru: [After she called me her hero, after everything i've been through with her.....]

Mamoru: [....Father....these things haven't happened.....atleast in this timeline.]

Subaru: [I know! But still.....it hurts so much.....]

Mamoru: [....Don't worry! I'll protect you as i promised! I'll try to make Rem less......uh...."aggressive"]

But then, the door to Subaru's room opened.

You could see Rem, holding her morningstar with a emotionless look in her eyes.

Subaru:......

Rem:.....

Mamoru: [....Father? I heard the door open, is she there?]

Subaru:....hey, Rem? Could we do this bit outside.....i don't want to disturb Emilia.....

Rem seemed suprised for a moment that Subaru seemed to be quite calm at in this moment, but she nods her head and they start heading outside.

Subaru: [Mamoru, start following us.]

Mamoru: [I know.]

After a while, they were a distance away from the mansion, standing there in silence.

Subaru:......

Rem:......

......

......

Subaru: Before we start.....why?

Rem: It's a maids duty to protect their masters home from any kind of threats.

Subaru: Seriously? It hasn't even been a day since i came here....by the way....why do you consider me a threa-

Rem: It's obvious, isn't it?!

Suddenly, Rem raised her voice.

Rem: How could one not be a threat when the smell of the witch lies so thickly on them?! Especially that "kid" is he an Archbishop?!

Subaru: What?! No! Were not with those cultist bastar-

Rem: Don't lie to me! I'll kill you for what you bastards did to me and my sister!

She threw her morningstar straight at Subaru, he couldn't avoid it, but he didn't have to.

Suddenly, the morningstar stopped in mid-air and was just hanging there.

Rem: What?

Mamoru: Look Rem, not everyone with the witches smell is a witchcultist.

Then, Mamoru came out of one of the bushes.

Rem:...You knew....

Even though Rem can't see it, Subaru can see that the morningstar is being held by a couple of [Unseen hands].

Mamoru: I'm don't think this will convince you in anyway, but i assure you that neither me or Father are part of those cultists.

Rem: I said don't lie to me!! There's no way someone that smells of it this much, isn't a witchcultist!!
