On this beautiful, sunny day the gang have decided to take a short break from being on the road. While Rapunzel and Pascal head off to find some berries to pick, Varian decides to use his time to practice his sword fighting as Ruddiger watches on. At the same time, Cassandra prepares to practice her archery skills... by placing an apple on Hook Foot's head, who is currently taking a nap under a tree.
Cassandra nocks an arrow, grunting from the pain of her injured hand. But she ignores it, and prepares to draw the arrow back.
Before she can fire the arrow, Eugene steps in her way and swipes the apple off of Hook Foot's head. "Ah, thank you."
"Huh?" Hook Foot wakes up, glancing around in confusion.
"Hey, that's our last apple!" Cassandra protests.
"Then why are you using it for target practice?" Eugene asks.
"I use these breaks to stay sharp," Cassandra replies.
Eugene stares at her with a raised eyebrow. "Good. Stay sharp with your own apples."
"I'm sorry, but shouldn't the concern here be that someone was about to shoot an apple off my head?!" Hook Foot shouts. He gestures to Cassandra, who only shrugs.
Their bickering has caught Varian's attention, and he stops what he is doing to watch how this will play out. It isn't the first time these guys have fought each other over something as simple as an apple...
While Eugene is distracted by Hook Foot's yelling, Lance comes up and swipes the apple from him.
"Lance, that's our last apple!" Eugene says.
"Then someone got here just in time," Lance says with a chuckle. He is about to take a bite, when Maximus headbutts him from behind. Lance drops the apple, and Maximus catches it in his mouth. "Apple usurper!"
Lance hops onto Maximus' back, and reaches forward to grab the apple from the horse's mouth. But Maximus rears up on his hind legs with an indignant neigh.
Varian sighs. "Guess I shouldn't tell them I still have an extra apple left, huh buddy?" He says to Ruddiger. But to his surprise, his raccoon is no longer standing beside him. Instead he is hanging from a tree branch directly above Maximus. When the horse rears up, Ruddiger grabs the apple from him, jumps down out of the tree, and dashes away.
"Oh, come on!" Lance shouts.
"I want my apple back!" Eugene says, chasing after the raccoon.
"Hey, you leave Ruddiger alone!" Varian shouts, running after Eugene.
Cassandra sets her bow down, and joins in the 'apple brawl.' As they all wrestle and fight over the apple, Hook Foot watches them and shakes his head.
"Enough!" They hear Rapunzel shout as she steps out of the bushes. Everyone stops mid-fight and stares at the princess.
