As the gang stroll through Pincosta, Eugene walks in the back of the group next to Maximus. He attempts to conceal his face every time another person walks past, worried someone will recognize him. "You know, on second thought, maybe I should just hang back with the camper," he says.
"Don't worry, Eugene," Rapunzel tells him. "These people have probably long forgotten—"
"Look, it's Flynn Rider!" A man shouts, pointing at Eugene.
In an instant, Eugene and Maximus have numerous sharp and dangerous weapons pointed at them. Eugene holds his hands up and forces a smile. "So, how about one of those hearty handshakes I've heard so much about?"
But the next thing he knows, he's been escorted to a jail cell. A guard stands outside of the cell as the rest of the gang wait nearby to talk with the constable of Pincosta.
"Five minutes in town and he's already arrested," Cassandra says with a huff.
"That's a new record," Lance says, munching on a piece of pie.
"So what're we gonna do about it?" Varian asks.

Before anyone can answer him, a short man walks into the prison. An extremely short man, even shorter than Calliope. The large hat on his head makes him seem slightly taller than he actually is.
"Alright, where is he?" The man shouts. He spots Eugene inside the cell, and strides over eagerly. "Well hello, Flynn Rider. Long time no see."
"Uh, Constable Lumph, is it?" Rapunzel asks, putting her hands on her hips.
"Wait, wait! Don't ruin my moment," Constable Lumph says. The guard hands him the key to Eugene's cell, and he stretches up to reach the lock. But he is still too short, so the guard lifts him and he eagerly jams the key into the lock and turns it with a satisfying click! "Oh yeah! I've been waiting so long to do that. Let me do it again." Happily, he unlocks Eugene's cell and locks it back. "Oh yeah!"
Rapunzel rolls her eyes. "Great. Okay, back to the charges?"
The guard is still holding Constable Lumph up. He turns the constable around so that he can be at eye level with Rapunzel. "This rapscallion walked away with the town's most sacred treasure: the Eye of Pincosta," the constable explains. "Which is—"
"Which is the biggest diamond in all the land," Rapunzel finishes. "Yeah, yeah, I know. I read the travel guide."
"The second biggest, actually," Constable Lumph corrects as his guard places him back on the ground. "Zuhlberg's is bigger."
"Zuhlberg..." Rapunzel growls in irritation.
"Yeah, hi. Stay focused, Rapunzel," Varian tells her, tapping her on the shoulder.
"Okay, yes. I stole the Eye," Eugene finally speaks up, suddenly appearing behind the group. "But that was ages ago. I'm a changed man!"
Constable Lumph glances at the now-empty cell behind him, and turns to face Eugene angrily. Even Maximus and Fidella grumble at Eugene.
