Chapter 57 - A Member In The Family

After the matter of marriage alliance settled down everything fall in peace. 2 days later Chityakanta called Nandini in her courtyard for a chat. She was quite happy that finally her son found a wife to settle down in his life and that girl happen to be the last princess of Sanatan Royalty. Although Sanatan does not exist now but the glory of that royal families in their time was quite famous and unforgettable. So how can she refuse such marrige which is personally chosen by her son unintentionally.

"Now everything is falling in peace. After coming here, so many things happened. It looks like being related to royalty won't let me have some peace more than two days" Chityakanta said in joking manner.

Nandini chuckled "mother is thinking too much" she poured tea in cup "happy or sad is the part of our lives. Without sadness we will never how worthy the happy means"

Chityakanta smiled "you are right. After being engaged for years with Kashmin I was quite worried about it. Though Kashmin grow up in royalty and has learnt all etiquette but under her mother's influence she couldn't decide for herself. And for such woman to become the princess consort is kind of worrying. But I am glad even though the engagement settled for years but it didn't proceeded. And lastly it broke unexpectedly. But now I am more than happy to accept Atropa. Even if her identity does not belong to royalty I would not have objected but I also feared that the court of royalty won't accept. I know Manik could handle it well but as a monarch he also bound by some rules that cannot be broken. His father never broke any rules during his ruling so if by any mistake he break it then it would be a great shame to his majesty's name" saying this she sighed.

Nandini nodded "I understand mother. Ruling a country is not a joke. Though it seems luxurious and easy but in reality it's not. It's harder than one can imagine. Being the emperor he not only has responsibility of royal families but also about all the citizens living under his care, hoping for him to help when they needed"

"Right" Chityakanta sipped on her tea "last time Queen Sakshi praised the taste of this tea. I think she is now quite fond of this taste. She even said she will ask you about it"

Nandini couldn't help but laugh "I understand. I will send some to her too. Besides queen Sakshi's generous behaviour really surprised me"

"I was too. But fortunately she is a matured and understanding person. No doubt that king Jagdish really cares and respects her. This is how a sensible person think and work according to the situation rises"

"Mother is right" Nandini agreed. They both are chatting when someone announced his majesty is here. Both Nandini and Chityakanta frowned as none of them expecting him to come.

No long Manik stride inside the courtyard. Since he arrived in temple he is maintaining casual attire not wearing the emperor attire he usual wear in court.

"Why are you here suddenly?" Chityakanta couldn't help but ask.

"I am here to tell you something important mother" Manik replied. He took a seat beside Nandini.

"What happened?" Chityakanta looked concern.

"I got a report there's some urgent matter to solve. So it's time to return"

His words made Chityakanta sad. She wanted to spend more time here but since Manik is accompanying her and he needs to leave then how can she stay here.

Manik looked at her face then smiled "if you want to stay for few more days then you can. But I need to leave soon. Besides we have been here for longer than  we planned"

Chityakanta shook her head "no it's fine, since there's urgent matter then it will be better to leave together. The court matter shouldn't be neglected for long"
