I came into the dojo the next day. I wasn’t allowed to fight or anything, but I came to watch and try to learn anything new my dad was planning to teach us. To my enjoyment, Kreese wasn’t there. I’m pretty sure that Miguel and Tory have officially started dating as well. It was nice, they were actually really good for each other.

“... alright but you gotta wear a costume. It’s 80’s night” Tory grinned

“Are you kidding? I love the 80s, dibs on Anthony Micheal Hall from Weird Science” he proclaimed

“I don’t think you have to call dibs on that” I chuckled

The front door bell rang, it was Hawk. I smiled softly, continuing to stretch my legs. Tory nudged me and I rolled my eyes.

“You two should come with. Make it a double date” Tory smiled

“I think I can persuade him” I smirked

“One second” Miguel mumbled, getting up

I watched as he walked over to Hawk, this might not go so well.

“I uh… Might wanna get in on that” I nodded, also getting up

Hawk quickly bowed before stepping onto the mat, Miguel met him right there.

“Hey” he stopped him

“What’s up” Hawk nodded

“About Coyote Creek, we cool?”

“We were enemies for a day, but Cobra Kai for life” Hawk assured

Hawk and Miguel did their fist bump, then doing it with me since I only had one hand. Miguel went back to sit with Tory while I wrapped an arm around Hawk almost right away.

“I’m proud, I didn’t even have to intervene between you two” I giggled

“Oh shush” Hawk rolled his eyes playfully, leaning down and kissing my forehead

“Hey, Miguel and Tory invited us for a double date night at the roler rink” I smiled “It’s 80’s night, which means costumes”

“Really? That sounds sick! Hell yes!” he smiled “Oh but first, I wanna take you on a date, just us”

“Well it’s not like I have a life other than karate” I chuckled

“Great, tonight then?”

“Looking forward to it pretty boy” I smirked, tilting my head up and kissing his neck

He hummed happily before pulling away from me to stretch. My dad came out of his office, and I instantly moved to the side to sit in a chair and watch. It was annoying, I wanted to be up there with them

“Everybody fall in” Dad announced “Today we’ll be learning one of the most important lessons a Cobra Kai could ever know” Dad told us. I wonder where this is going

“Where’s sensei Kreese?” Hawk asked

“Yeah, shouldn’t we wait for the sensei emeritus before we get going?” Chub followed along with Hawk. Dad glared at him “.... or not”

“Mr. Kreese will no longer be joining us” Dad announced, making me sit up instantly “I made a promise when I became your sensei. To always look out for your best interests. Despite how hard this may be for all of us, he didn’t have our best interests at heart. John Kreese may have founded Cobra Kai, but he no longer represents what this dojo stands for. His Cobra Kai was old and outdated. He refused to move forward. What happens when we do that Mr. Diaz?”

I looked at Miguel remembering the day in the cement mixer. We all could’ve died that day. But it was because of each other that we didn’t

“You get stuck like cement” He answered
