Twins?

Friday night came, and I was excited. I hadn’t been rollerblading in years. The gang all went, well a few of us. Of course Miguel and Tory were there. Tory had this total 80s outfit. She looked gorgeous. Miguel had decided on Michael Jackson, that’s why he wanted to borrow my dad’s jacket. Hawk had decided to go as John Bender, stealing my old Halloween costume, and I, with the help of Ms. Diaz, went as Clair Standish.

“It’s so weird wearing a skirt… and pink” I grumbled fighting with my rollerblades to get onto my feet

“You look amazing,” Hawk smiled, leaning over me. I convinced him to keep his hair down to match with the look, it flopped in front of his face, and looked gorgeous “And hey, if you start feeling uncomfortable, we can take a break, or leave, yeah?” he smiled

I smiled up at him, standing on the rolling shoes and nodding my head. Hawk gently kissed my forehead, and we went off to find Tory and Miguel. We found them… with Robby and Sam. Oh you gotta be shitting me.

“So… how do you two know each other?” Sam questioned as we sklated up

“Tory’s in Cobra Kai” Miguel sighed

“Hey all” I greeted, keeping my arm around Hawk

“Figures”

“What was that?” Tory questioned Sam

“Hey Harles” Robby nodded at me

I smiled pleasantly, since I wasn’t on bad terms with them right now. I could smell a fight coming already, and I didn’t want to be a part of it.

“Harley what happened?” Sam exclaimed

I looked at her confused before remembering my broken wrist. Robby’s eyes widened too and he came closer to me.

“Shit, what’d you do?” He asked

“Guys it’s nothing, just got in an accident” I assured “It’ll be all fixed in like- a month”

“Why should you care?” Tory spoke up

“Excuse you?” Sam questioned

“Ah- Tory” I stopped them “This is my twin brother, Robby” I sighed

“Twins?” she looked between the two of us “....Wow”

“Yeah” I nodded

“I feel sorry for you” she scoffed, looking at me

“Hey, Robby’s a good guy” I defended “He’s the best brother I could ask for”

“He’s a prick is what he is”

“Harley let’s go” Hawk mumbled

“You better watch your mouth Nichols” I warned

“Or what? You’ll club me?” she spat, motioning to my arm “I gotta get back to work. See you later babe” Tory pulled Miguel into a taunting kiss, taunting Sam of course, before skating off.

“Hey” Hawk grabbed my hand, i looked him in the eyes “Calm down princess”

“Princess?” Robby spoke up

“Yeah, she’s my girlfriend, got a problem with that tough guy?” Hawk stuck his chest out

“I just might-”

“Okay, both of you stop it” Sam called “We’ll hopefully see you later Harley?” Sam smiled

“Yeah” I nodded

Robby and Sam left to go get skates. We stood with Miguel. When I lifted my arm to run a hand through my hair, I guess one of my tattoos showed because Miguel gasped

“Dude you actually did it!” he exclaimed

“Hell yeah I did” Hawk grinned

“Aw that looks sick man” Miguel grinned

“Thanks” I giggled

I had gotten a small rose tattoo on the underside of my left upper arm.

“That’s not the only one” Hawk assured
I rolled my eyes, spinning around and lifting my hair to show the thorn branch tattoo on the back of my neck.

“Your dad’s gonna be pissed” Miguel chuckled

“What’s he gonna do? Bastard wouldn’t be alive without me” I smirked turning back around “There’s one more but...”

“My eyes only” Hawk smirked

Miguel raised an eyebrow as Hawk kept his arms wrapped around my waist.

“I’m not even gonna ask, you kids have fun” Miguel laughed, skating off to probably find Tory.

I rolled my eyes, hooking my arms around Hawk’s waist, nuzzling my head into his chest. Hawk rubbed the back of my head gently, pecking the top of my head repeatedly, making me giggle

We skated around until our feet were sore from the shoes. Between being home and being at the dojo so often, we didn’t wear shoes that much. We were just ready to get drinks when we heard shouting, shouting related to us.

“What the hell Sam!?”

We skated over quickly, seeing Tory on the ground, her tray of orders everywhere. Had Sam knocked her over?

“What? Me I- she’s the one-”

“Are you okay Tory?” a man who worked there asked

I tried to help Tory up but she just shoved me away. I tripped, luckily I didn’t land on my hand.

“I don’t need your help” she growled, taking Miguel’s hand and getting up.

“What the hell Tory?” Hawk exclaimed, rushing over to me and helping me up

“Harley are you okay?” Robby asked, staying beside Sam

“Yeah I’m alright” I nodded, holding onto Hawk

What the hell was that about? Why did Tory just suddenly hate me just like that?

“Alright you’re done” The man from before told Robby and Sam “You’re out”

“She’s the one who started it” Robby pointed at Tory

“You’re out!” the guy said again

I sighed, leaning back against Hawk and just watching everything happen. There was nothing I could do without upsetting someone. So I didn’t do anything. Robby and Sam left, I made a note in my mind to call them later. Right now I just felt bad.

“Hey what the hell was that about Tory?” I questioned “What have I done?”

“I don’t wanna be friends with anyone related to that jackass” she growled “You’re just gonna be the same in the end. I should’ve known. You always act like you’re better than everyone anyway… well not me”

With that she got up and skated away. What? I always tried my hardest not to be cocky and full of myself! Miguel looked between the two of us, obviously torn.

“Go” I sighed, waving him off.

“But Harley-”

“It’s alright El, you go… help her cool off” I sighed

Miguel nodded, skating after Tory. I groaned, my back was really hurting.

“You okay?” Hawk asked

“Yeah uh… Can we go home?” I questioned

“Yeah of course” Hawk nodded, holding an arm securely around my waist.

After that we took off our skates and went home. Dad was out, which meant we could relax. We rested on the couch, watching old movies until we passed out together. It was hard to comprehend how much time had gone on. We were gonna be starting school again in a few weeks. It had almost been a year since I had met Miguel, since we started up Cobra Kai. A lot has happened, a lot has changed too. Hell, Eli has hair now… and wasn’t all Eli. Ups and downs happened, a lot of downs… but good things were happening around them. You just had to look back and see them
