"You'll take pictures then we have interviews and then you can head in the venue," our manager said as we were in the car reaching the venue.
Once we arrived, we could already see the reporters and fans waiting for us behind the barricade. You stepped out the car first and the crowd went crazy. You waited for the rest of the girls to step out too before making your way together to the red carpet.
You noticed another group was also on the red carpet next to you guys and it was the bangtan boys. Both groups were pretty close with each other because we were considered the 2 biggest groups in Korea and worldwide and have achieved a lot, so naturally, both groups attended similar events and got closer through that. However, we weren't allowed to express our friendship to the public, but most of the fans already suspect that we were pretty close friends from small interactions.
Your eyes met Jungkook's and you both stared at each other for a bit before breaking eye contact. Jungkook chuckled and looked down nervously before looking back up to the cameras. You smiled for the camera as they were calling for all of you to look at the camera.
You and Jungkook had gotten closer to each other because of the same friend group where the idols who were born in 1997 were in. You two attended the gatherings together after meetings with both groups and through those, you have gotten closer to him. And to be honest, you both were in the talking stage.
After the photos, your manager led you guys to the reporters.
"Welcome! It's been so long! you guys have gotten so popular! Now, tell me how does it feel?" he asked.
"We are greatly appreciative of the opportunities that we get and will forever cherish every moment, all of this could not happen without our fans," Lia said.
"Now you girls are the biggest korean group alongside the bangtan boys, attending western award shows together and representing Korea multiple times, what do you think of the boys?"
"y/n, you want to answer this?" Suzy, the oldest member, asked.
" well, i think they are really amazing boys. They've worked really hard, we know how much they worked to be where they're at now and we are both really supportive of each other. There are no competition or whatsoever, they are like our brothers, we learn from each other and we grow together to make our country proud" you say.
The rest of the girls smiled at you proudly for explaining it well.
"So you two get along well?"
"It's bound to happen, we have members with similar age and we hang out a lot with each other so yeah, you could say that we are close" Suzy said.
Your manager looked at your group disapprovingly but you ignored it because you just wanted the fans to stop trying to make something out of nothing. It will only make both groups grow distant with each other.
The same questions were being asked to the boys.
"The girls are also here today! Can we get some inside scoop on your relationship with them?"
"They are wonderful, we actually hang often, or more than what people think. We treat each other with respect and support one another. I think support is really important. They're like family and we actually learn a lot from them" Namjoon said.
Jungkook nodded looking over at the girls who were laughing at an interview. He was more of focusing on you and your smile. He couldn't help but his heart just flutters at the sight of you.
