Again, another article of your boyfriend rumoured to be dating another idol. You rolled your eyes probably a million times this week. If rolling your eyes was a competition, you would most definitely win it without a doubt. You usually ignore the articles about your boyfriend with another idol but this time, one of the rumour had pictures and proof.
You clicked on the article and saw Jungkook with a female idol. It looked like they were alone. What were they doing alone?
You saw more and more fans commenting about how cute they look together, compiling their reactions to each other when they perform on stage, their cute small interactions during the award show and what not. Jungkook was currently at an award show right now and he told you that he'll most likely be back late as they were attending the after party too. You had no problem with it, it wasn't as if it was the first time he's back late. You got used to it but you couldn't be angry at him because it's his work and you wouldn't understand because you're not an idol.
More pictures of them surfaced on the internet making you jealous and angry for some reason. Jungkook looked too happy and too close to her. It was as if he knew her since they were babies or something. I've never heard of her from him before. You called Jungkook and after a few rings he picked up.
"Hey baby, everything okay?" he asked.
"Why were you and Lin alone?" you asked.
"What?"
"You didn't see? The pictures of the both of you is all over the internet, you look pretty comfortable with her" you say.
"It is? I wasn't alone with her babe-" he said.
"But the picture only showed you and her. And you were so close to her. And the place seems sketchy as if it was meeting in secret" you say.
"Baby, let me speak," he sighed.
"I know I'm not an idol, I don't get rumours with you or whatever. I see articles about you with different women every single time. Every single day you're rumoured with someone else, another idol" you say, as you felt the tears coming out.
"Baby, it's rumours. It's not true. I promise you I was with the boys too, we just came across her and she stopped us to chat, i don't know what the picture looks like as of now but trust me, that's all that happened" he said calmly.
"The fans seem happy with that interaction... they want you both to be together and wished it was true" you say softly.
"But i only want you. You, y/n. I don't care what everyone else say, I want you, only you, let's not bother about people who aren't in the relationship okay?" he say.
"It's just-" you sighed.
"I know baby... I'll come home now, wait for me darling, we'll talk about it okay?" he say.
"No, no it's okay. I'm sorry for calling you now, just have fun with the boys, we can talk after okay?" you say.
"I love you baby, i do. I really do" Jungkook reminded.
"I love you too" you say softly and the call ended.
Jungkook went on his phone and saw the articles about him and Lin. It does look suspicious and it was definitely captured with the goal of picturing them as a secret couple. Jungkook got frustrated because everyone started spreading more and more rumours, coming up with their own theories when in actual fact, the boys were literally there too. The picture was just cropped. He wouldn't blame you for thinking something happened as the picture was definitely aimed to do that.

Jungkook couldn't keep his mind off it. He was angry at the reporters and journalists for spreading such lies and only hurting his loved one. He stood there waiting for the pictures to be taken, not putting much effort as all he had in mind was wanting to go home to you. Everyone and anyone could see that he was upset about it.
"Hyung, I'm gonna skip the after party, I need to check on y/n" he said to Namjoon.
Namjoon nodded understanding that it must be tough for you to receive such news from another source.
"okay, check up on her, hope it will all go fine" Namjoon say patting the maknae's back.
Jungkook then talked to their security and they led him to a car that was readily available for him. The paparazzis outside the parking lot took thousands of pictures and video of him walking out alone to the van. This made many fans wonder why he wasn't with the guys, and they assumed it had something to do with the rumour.
Jungkook arrived back at your apartment and keyed in the door code. The lights in the living room were off but the lights in the room were still on. He took off his shoes and turned on the lights before making his way to the room.
"baby?" he called and you turned around to face him as you were lying in bed.
"What are you doing here? It's still early" you say.
"Let's talk about it, I know it's bothering you darling" he say softly sitting on the bed and caressing your cheek.
You sat up and looked down, fidgeting with your fingers as that is what you always do when you get anxious and nervous. He noticed it and took your hands in his. Caressing it ever so gently.
"The pictures were captured to act as if there was something going on between us... you know how they try to ruin my career so many times.. trust me, the boys were there too," he said.
"I understand why you felt that way, I would've reacted the same if I see a picture of you and some other guy alone and everyone else seems to enjoy it... I will talk to the company about it and this rumour will go down the drain" he said.
"I- I'm sorry... I didn't mean to ruin your after party... I was just scared of losing you, I know I'm not an idol and we don't have the same lifestyle and-"
"shh, it's nothing like that. I don't care if you're not an idol. You're a human and I love you just the way you are. I love you so so much, please don't ever think less of yourself," he said pulling you into a hug.
"I love you Jungkook, you make me feel so special" you say taking in his scent.
"I love you too darling, I'm glad you feel that way because that is how you should feel all the time. You're special, you're my happiness and I love you so much" he said kissing your forehead.
"Go to bed first, i'll shower up and join you" he said laying you back down.
