CINDERELLA OF GREEN
Purple Hyacinth | Chapter 97

"The special scenarios are from Norn9, lmao. What happened to that anime? Also, who likes and hates Shakespeare at the same time?? Is it just me?"

Yoo Jonghyuk was the first one to open his eyes, grunting as he forced himself to lift himself up from the ground. It took some time for him to adjust to the place's lighting.

"Master is awake!" Lee Jihye yelled, pointing at the monitor. They were waiting for about ten minutes for something to happen.

"Wait, why are there four portals now?" Lee Hyunsung asked.

Yoo Jonghyuk took notice of the two other people passed out on the floor.

"(Y/n)." He shakes her, calling her name repeatedly. There was no response. There wasn't any movement. She's just sleeping without a sound.

He tapped her cheek lightly, determined to wake her up. But his efforts are useless.

"She won't wake," a familiar voice muttered that made him stiffen. He abruptly turned his head to look at the person to whom the voice belongs to.

And there, only at a decent distance from him stood none other than...

Tom Riddle.

Kidding.

There stood the woman with snowy white hair and red lips. One of Yoo Jonghyuk's previously closest companions, as well as his lover in his second regression.

"Seolhwa?"

"Who is that?" Jung Heewon asked Lee Jihye, watching the screen intently. The younger woman shrugs.

Except... it wasn't her.

"Ah, afraid not." The person slowly changes in appearance, resembling Yoo Jonghyuk— it felt weird seeing himself all smiley like a bloody idiot.

"See, if (Y/n) has the ability to shift into whatever animal she wanted," the person has taken the appearance of (Y/n)— looking coldly at him, she wore different clothing from what she wears right now and in his previous regressions, her hair is chopped off and there was a slash mark from her jaw down to her neck, it was covered with her white dress but Yoo Jonghyuk is aware that the scar reaches past her chest— he was there when she got the scar.

"Why does mom look like that?" Kenji asked, but none of them knew the answer to that question.

The most noticeable thing that's hard to ignore is the crown on her head.

Her tired lifeless eyes and extremely drained complexion along with her attire made him realize that she is the version of her in the future.

Look into her soulless eyes,
That held no warmth,
Her white dress coated in red,
With a crown that carried no importance,
With a heart that has nothing inside,
She was worse than a broken doll,
For she wouldn't be needing stitches,
But a new identity to keep,
Where she could do whatever she pleases,
But should abide by fate's constraints.

"Was that (Y/n)-nim's prophecy?" Jung Minseob asked.

"Wait, we can see and hear master's thoughts!" Lee Jihye exclaimed.

"I, on the other hand, can change into the person of my choice."

There was no need to guess who the person was. He'd only ever known a small number of shapeshifters.
