Farmer's market

"There's my girl, I was starting to get worried" Jack called as he saw you coming towards the waffle truck. You giggled and stood in line while he called out your usual order and Sam's. "The harem here today?" he winked as you got closer and you nodded as Bucky got in line behind you. "Same as last time?" He looked at Bucky and Steve and they both nodded and he called out the order. "You are looking fine today, you out hunting?" Jack winked at you and you blushed slightly, taking out your wallet.
"No, no more hunting for a while. I just felt like a change" you gave a smile. "Extra whipped cream please" you gave your best smile.
"Already done, we know your order" he winked and you paid for your waffle. You grabbed napkins and made your way over to wait on your food. The boys paid for theirs as well, while Jack tried flirting with them as well. Steve just flushed, and Bucky didn't seem to be paying attention. Sam just laughed it off. You saw all four orders come up almost at once, and you grabbed yours and a fork while they grabbed theirs, and you led the way to the picnic tables.
"So how was your day yesterday?" Steve asked after you all had sat down.
"Wonderful, I wish I did it more often. Curiously enough, it was radio silent all day. You have something to do with that?" you arched an eyebrow as you took a bite of your waffle.
"Tony wanted to start texting you as soon as you left, I figured you only take very little time for yourself so told the team to leave you alone for the day" he gave a small smile. "Since it is Sunday, we can finally send you the pictures we took for you though" he took out his phone and you felt multiple notifications go off from your purse. Bucky followed suit, and you felt even more come through. You pulled your phone out and started cooing over the different pictures they took.
"These are wonderful, thank you guys" you smiled happily.
"Anything for you doll" Bucky smirked at you.
"I already sent all mine last night after missy got home late" Sam announced.
"I wasn't that late" you shook your head.
"You said midnight" he reminded you.
"It was barely one o'clock" you giggled.
"It was still late, I was worried" he continued eating. "Next time I'm coming"
"I know" you blushed and saw that Bucky and Steve looked at you quickly. "I promised last night" you added softly.
"Where do you go?" Bucky asked gently, the mysterious answer just barely within his reach.
"They won't judge you" Sam smiled at you and you blushed.
"A few places, it's silly. But they are all my favorite places. I spend the whole day on it" you gave a soft smile.
"Well, now you've got me interested" Bucky gave his flirty smile.
"I promise they won't judge you" Sam saw you hesitant to answer and you blushed.
"There's a nice café that has chocolate croissants, and iced coffee... and a really great Greek restaurant I like" you looked down while playing with the hem of your dress. "And there's the zoo, the botanical garden, and the museum" you trailed off blushing a deep red.
"That sounds like a lot of fun, why were you so late then?" Bucky grinned.
"I like watching the sunset in the countryside to finish the day" you whispered.
"That sounds like a lot of fun. No wonder you make a day of it. Do you take pictures?" Steve asked curiously and you nodded going back to your waffle.
"Maybe we can see them sometime" he smiled kindly seeing how shy you got about it. You slowly pulled out your phone and handed it to Steve. Bucky got up to look while Sam slid on the seat to be right beside Steve as they went through your pictures.
"You're going the wrong way, that's Aurora" Sam pointed out quickly. They all seemed to stare at your phone for a while, and you finished your waffle. "Hang on a second, where is this?" Sam took your phone and showed you a photo of your cabin and the lake.
"Just a place out in the country" you flushed, feeling like you just got caught.
"My ass, you bought your cabin didn't you?" he grinned and you looked away not wanting to answer. You got up and put away your garbage and silently took your phone, putting it into your pocket. "You little shit, you've been keeping a lot of secrets from me" he laughed.
"I'm building onto it, and I was going to tell you once I was ready. I don't even have it furnished yet" your face was red, but you finally admitted to it. Bucky and Steve looked at you with smiles, but Sam came around the table and pulled you into a bone crushing hug that caused you to yelp.
"Congratulations Sexy legs! You did it! You're setting down roots. When am I going to see it?" he asked, putting you back on the ground.
"I'm visiting it next month, after I buy it a fridge and stove" you gave a shy smile.
"Congratulations" Steve and Bucky smiled at you.
"Come on, let us finish eating and I want all the details" he led you back to the picnic table.
"I've only had it a few months" you sat down, feeling shy about it. "I bought a swing for it. It's got a wrap around porch, it's a one bedroom" you fidgeted a bit.
"Can you work remotely from it?" Steve asked and you gave a smile and a quick nod.
"I've been emailing with a construction company to have it expanded a bit, but I don't like the plans the architect has brought forward so far" you wrinkled your nose.
"What don't you like about them?" Bucky brought your attention back to him and you smiled at him easily.
"They want to modernize it too much. I like the wood floors, and the old fashioned look of it. I just wanted a bit more space and some more bedrooms. I thought the bathroom could use an upgrade with a big soaker tub and a stand up shower separately, but I want it facing towards the lake with floor to ceiling windows like I have in my new room so it can feel like I'm taking a bath outside" you blushed. "I mean, it's just me and Aurora for now so I don't have to worry about anyone seeing me naked"
"How many bedrooms do you want?" Sam asked you quickly.
"Four, one can be an office for now, but I wanted kids someday so three more bedrooms seemed like a good idea" you gave a whimsical smile.
"Wow, you've got it planned out" Bucky smiled at you, putting his head on his hand and his elbow on the table. You blushed and nodded a bit and gave him a smile back and saw his cheeks went a little pink.
"I've wanted this for a while" you bit your bottom lip and his gaze went to your lips for a moment and he licked his lips, before raising his gaze back to your eyes.
"I know the feeling" he whispered and you saw Sam and Steve share a look.
"What is it you've been wanting, Bucky?" you asked gently.
"Same thing. A home, a family" he flushed a bit and sat up straight again. "Your place sounds pretty great"
"There's lots of places up north that I looked at, maybe I can give you the name of my realtor" you offered quickly.
"I'd need a big house, that punk will want to come with me" Bucky smirked and you felt butterflies fill your belly by just watching him. You wanted to lean into him for your snuggles early, but kept back. He might still change his mind, and that would be his right. Sam grabbed all the plates for the garbage and put it away. You got up quietly, keeping your thoughts to yourself while Steve started bantering with Bucky about how he didn't need to follow him to a new house if he had a woman in his life. You couldn't help but think she would be one lucky woman, and would have to understand that Steve and Bucky were a package deal. Sam was a part of their group too, whether or not Bucky and Sam wanted to admit it to themselves. Sam threw his arm over your shoulder and you walked slowly towards the fruit stands. You knew you didn't really have to buy additional fruits anymore, but you liked to keep up the habit. You went to a few of your usual's and picked up fresh strawberries and peaches. You also got some blueberries, cherries, and raspberries to munch on during the week.
"Where do you find the time to munch on all this?" Sam asked while you saw the cotton candy grapes and ran over to buy some.
"Evenings, or when I used to work in my office" you smiled at him easily. "I stress eat, but I try to stay away from the wrong foods" you shrugged.
"You get stressed often?" Steve seemed curious and you saw Bucky studying you closely.
"I'm stressed all the time" you gave a sigh. "I'm always worried the data isn't what it should be, or that someone's going to get hurt. I'm worried that Hydra's going to catch me hacking their websites and databases. I'm worried that someone's going to get hurt because I didn't have enough data" you started listing off some of your worries.
"Hey, we do better with you with us. You work your ass off, ain't no one taking that from you. You haven't let us down yet" Sam reassured you. "Stop stressing so much" he pulled you under his arm again. "What are your plans for the afternoon?"
"Bucky asked me to join him for some reading" you blushed a bright red, and saw Bucky grin more to himself a little proudly and a small flush went across his cheeks.
"Is that why you said you wanted the garden area to yourself today, I see how it is. You're trying to steal my girl" Sam looked at him with a laugh. "Don't forget I'm still her best friend"
"I won't forget" Bucky mumbled. You saw the bookstand and perked up a little.
"I'll carry your bags this time" Steve offered and you hurried over to pick up some new reads for the week, especially since you have more room for them. You bartered a little for twenty books this time, and Steve seemed to easily carry the weight of them for you.
"Thank you Steve" you gave a wide smile.
"Can't let you carry them by yourself" he shrugged. You paused as you passed the jewelry stand again, and saw the earrings and necklace were still there, and bit your bottom lip unsurely.
"You should buy them" Bucky whispered from behind you and you jumped a little.
"No, I'll think about it a little more" you decided. "I bought more books than I should have" you grinned. "I'll be right back, I need to get my flowers" you left the three of them standing there.

"Don't say a word" Bucky looked at both Sam and Steve and walked over to purchase the earrings and necklace. He put them in his pocket, and took one of the bags of books from Steve. You came back a few minutes later with another bouquet of red roses again, and gave a shy smile.
"You know, some men like to buy the ladies flowers" Sam teased you. You couldn't help but snort and laugh a little.
"That ain't happening. Have you met me? I can't even get one date right" you rolled your eyes.
"You just haven't given the right guy a chance yet" Steve perked up.
"I'm too high maintenance. I'll buy it myself" you shrugged with a grin and started making your way back towards the cars.
"You still up for your crepe?" Sam asked as you got close to the picnic tables.
"Of course" you grinned.
"Good, I'm buying this time. Stay here with Bucky. Steve will help me carry it back" Sam smirked and both Sam and Steve put down the bags by the picnic table before leaving quickly. Bucky sat down after you did and he seemed to keep looking at you, but then looking away.
"Do I have something on my face again?" you asked with flushed cheeks.
"No, you just look more relaxed today" Bucky gave a small smile.
"Is there something you wanted to tell me or ask me?" you were confused why he kept looking at you. You didn't mind, but there were plenty of beautiful women in the park for him to look at.
"No, just looking forward to reading with you later" he gave his flirty grin and you blushed again.
"I'm looking forward to that too" you whispered shyly, and went into one of the bags to look at your new books again. You decided on one, and took it out, slipping it into your purse. He looked at you curiously and you bit at your bottom lip unsurely. "So I don't have to waste time looking when we get back" you explained.
"You'll love the garden area, there's a few loungers, a pool, a few picnic tables, and my personal favorite, the three seater swing" he smirked.
"There's an outdoor pool too? I thought there was just an indoor one" you asked quickly.
"We have two outdoor pools, and one indoor. The other outdoor pool is just outside one of the gyms. Not a lot of people use the garden one since it's a bit further away. I like it because you are surrounded by all the hedges and rose bushes, so it seems a bit more private while you are outside. I don't like people staring" he shrugged.
"Maybe they are just looking at you because you're handsome" you shrugged, and blushed realizing you said it out loud. He looked at you quickly with flushed cheeks. "What? It's the truth" you decided you weren't getting out of this easily.
"You think I'm handsome?" he asked with his flirty smile.
"I think anyone with eyes thinks so" you looked and saw Sam and Steve were coming back.
"Even with a metal arm?" he whispered.
"It's apart of you, I think it's beautiful in design. It's good you can use it so easily, and that you can feel the pressure of things with it again" you gave a shy smile.
"How did you know about that?" he moved a little closer to you, speaking softly.
"Tony talks a lot" you blushed at his proximity getting closer.
"Here I was thinking you were checking me out" he whispered flirtatiously.
"How do you know I haven't?" you batted your eyes at him. He grinned and you blushed realizing what you just said.
"Alright, crepes all around" Sam put one in front of you and Steve put one in front of Bucky before they both sat down.
"Why are you blushing?" he looked at you curiously.
"No reason" you decided to concentrate on your food instead.
"I'm starting to look forward to this Sunday walk" Steve chuckled seeing how red your face was.
"It's the highlight of my week" you took a bite of your food happily and danced a little in your seat.
"Mine too" Bucky looked sideways at you. "At least it is now" he spoke a little more softly and you blushed again, wondering if he was really flirting with you before. You absolutely flirted back, and you knew it. You were rarely that brazen, but this was the man you've been dying to get his attention. He seemed to be out of your league, in your mind, but it didn't hurt to want a little more.
"How's your crepe?" Sam asked with a grin on his face.
"So good" you hummed happily, and licked your lips of whipped cream. He passed you a napkin and you wiped your face just in case.
The four of you ate in silence. You were thinking of your reading time coming up excitedly on the inside. Once you were done you grabbed your flowers and some of the bags while Sam grabbed all the garbage and put it away. Bucky grabbed all your books and carried them back to Sam's car and Sam opened the trunk. You decided to carry your roses instead of putting them in the back. Bucky ran around and opened your door for you again and you gave a small smile and whispered thank you to him before getting in the car. He shut the door and raced around to get in the other side. You gave him another smile and he gave his flirty one in return.
