Thor's arms

You read off of Kindle, curled up on the loveseat with Thor sitting beside you. You had your feet up between the two of you, and he turned on the TV, putting on an action movie to watch while you read. He seemed content to just spend the day watching TV today, and you peered over your phone at him a few times until Loki came back downstairs armed with your laptop. He gracefully set it on the coffee table beside you and took the armchair beside you, and took out one of his books to read. You didn't know what Bucky, Steve and Sam were up to for a few hours, and you were a little curious. You didn't want to be one of those anxious girlfriends that constantly checked in or asked what they were doing so you knew where he was every minute of every day. You started to feel anxiety over not wanting to project that to Bucky, even though you were burning with curiosity and the lights and TV started flickering.
"Thor" Loki cleared his throat and Thor just grabbed you and pulled you up onto his lap and held you close while you regulated your breathing.
"Hydra will not touch you again, Lady Y/N" Thor promised, not understanding where your anxiety really lay.
"I wasn't even thinking about them this time" you sighed, and cuddled into him. His strong arms held you close, and you couldn't help but compare them to Bucky's. Bucky's arm wasn't as heavily muscled, but you preferred his embrace to Thor's. Although you could see the charm in the way he held you. The TV stopped flickering, as did the lights as Thor soothed you by rubbing one of his hands up and down your back. You looked down at your hand, and the blue pulsing electricity was at your fingertips and you observed it in wonder. Thor looked down and gave a gentle smile.
"You will learn to control it better" he promised softly, and you couldn't help but think of him as a gentle giant. "Did you want one of my pop tarts to aid with your nerves?" he offered.
"No, I'm not hungry" you shook your head as you watched the blue electricity dance along your hand.
"Take deep breaths," Loki suggested. "Unless you don't want it to go away" he arched an eyebrow elegantly.
"I just think it looks so alien, but feels so good at the same time" you admitted in a quiet whisper.
"You'll get used to using it" he seemed so sure of himself.
"You'll learn to greet it as an old friend," Thor nodded in agreement. You sighed softly and took a few deep breaths before the blue lights disappeared. You crawled off of Thor's lap, and grabbed your laptop and logged in for the first time in a long while. Your fingers were having a hard time to type, but you forced yourself to try. You put in your password with one keystroke at a time, and it was a painstakingly slow process. You sighed as you saw the familiar screen pop up, and the first thing you did was connect your VPN to be overseas. You weren't going to make the same mistake ever again. You curiously went into your emails and saw that Friday automatically generated a weekly report that consisted of just a summary of the team's missions for the weeks while you were gone, and it suddenly stopped two weeks ago, which aligned with your return back to the compound. You went over the summaries curiously, seeing that indeed the team had barely taken a break while you were gone. If anything, they were busier. You sorted through the rest of your emails, before opening your web browser and going to Amazon to order some new books. Everything was painstaking slow, and you hated it. Your computer was running just fine, it was just the searches took so long with your hands not being back up to par with your standards yet. Last night you had been able to use your hands just fine on Bucky's body, something you were proud of. His moans are still fresh in your memories. You put several books that seemed interesting in your cart to think about, but when it came down to deciding you just bought them all. It wasn't like you were making it out to the farmer's market, and you didn't know how long that was going to be for.
Thor finished his one movie, and turned on the next one while you put your computer to the side with a little annoyance. You were determined to get your full dexterity back again as soon as possible, and promised yourself you would practice once a day on your laptop. You curled back up with your phone again, and Loki looked over curiously.
"How many books did you decide on?" he asked.
"Probably too many, but I doubt I'll be allowed outside again in the near future" you gave a sad smile. "I need to get a handle on my powers anyways, and the outdoor farmer's market will stop running soon with the way autumn is hitting"
"We will make it again, perhaps for an indoor one" Loki shrugged as though it was the most logical thing to do.
"They wont have the fresh fruits anymore though" you gave a slight pout. "I had also wanted to go apple picking this year"
"Tony has apple tree's, we can go pick some," Thor offered quickly. "It's a small orchard, but it will do for your needs"
"He does?" you asked in surprise.
"Indeed, I've taken a few walks through it. Would you like to go now?" he asked, pausing the TV.
"No, you're watching your movie" you quickly pointed out.
"Nonsense, we should go" Thor stood up and went to turn off the TV.
"I think she's waiting for her dear sergeant to be home to go," Loki pointed out.
"I want to go with everyone" you flushed.
"Good, we will go tomorrow morning after breakfast, to get your mind off the farmers market" he shrugged as if he solved everything. He took out his phone and you saw him send a message to the team's group chat that everyone that was in the compound was going apple picking in the morning with you. You blushed slightly, and looked away. You remembered setting that group chat up for them, leaving yourself out of it. You wanted them to have a way to communicate with one another when they were between missions without having to text one person at a time. From what you could see over Loki's shoulder, it looked like it was used quite a bit.

"So where are we going?" Steve asked as soon as they finished at the pharmacy where Bucky stocked up and bought them out of all their extra large condoms. He knew you were on birth control, but he didn't want to take any chances with all the medication you were on, and you having been off of it for so long.
"I checked and the farmer's market is open today" Bucky gave a grin. "I wanted to see if that lady has the robes made yet, and maybe pick Y/N up a few books"
"We had better get everyone some crepes for lunch while we are at it" Sam smirked from the back seat. "Smooth moves Tin man"
"I wanted to surprise her, and it's been getting colder out," Bucky shrugged.
"She hasn't taken the jewelry off that you got her" Steve gave a soft smile. "I think she really likes them"
"You should have seen how surprised she was," Bucky beamed proudly. "I had meant to give it to her on our first month anniversary, but we got side tracked and then her abilities started to surface"
"Hey, you gave them to her at the right time. She worked hard this week" Sam encouraged him.
"It was good to see her so full of smiles this morning" Steve had a slight flush on his cheeks. "Even though we all knew what that was from"
"We finally admitted we loved each other on our date last night. I planned on telling her for a while, I just didn't know how to bring it up" Bucky admitted a little sheepishly. "It felt good to finally show her how much she means to me in a more physical way"
"You definitely did that," Sam rolled his eyes as Steve confidently drove through traffic.
"She's addictive" Bucky flushed a bit. "She actually keeps up with me," he added a little proudly.
"I'm just looking forward to the soundproofing" Sam chuckled.
"I don't think Tony saw that coming" Steve grinned. "Otherwise he would have soundproofed it before she moved in"
"I waited over a year to make my move," Bucky admitted.
"You should have told me, Tin man. I would have helped you" Sam leaned forward. "I knew she liked you. You would have been coming on our Sunday walks a lot sooner"
"You are so protective over her, I find that hard to believe" Steve looked at him through the rear view mirror.
"I just want her to be happy, and I can see she's very happy with Bucky," Sam relented. "I might tease them, or purposely stop their couple time to get my digs in... but I'm glad that she's happy"
"How are things with Sarah?" Bucky asked quickly.
"They are going good. We have been having small dates here and there during her breaks. I'm afraid Tony is going to stop with the unlimited overtime, and they are going to head back to Shield again" Sam admitted.
"It's not that far of a drive at least" Steve offered. He found the perfect parking spot and pulled in. "Where to first?" he looked at Bucky expectantly who was already pulling off his seat belt.
"I'll run over and check in about the robes. Can you two go order the crepes?" Bucky asked quickly.
"Sure, we've got this" Sam nodded.

Bucky quickly got out of the car and headed on his way to the merchant that had sold the handmade goods that you liked so much, where you had been waiting for her to make robes. When he got there he saw that she had a rose one, and he immediately bought one in your size before turning around and heading over to the used books merchant and looked for the romance novels you seemed to like so much. He picked out ten new ones for you after carefully reading the back, having a good idea of what you liked by now. He made his way over to the flower stand and bought a dozen dark red roses, and smirked to himself before he made his way back to the SUV. Steve and Sam were just getting back and had two large boxes full of takeout boxes with crepes in them, getting them all in just chocolate since Pepper has a severe allergy to strawberries. The three of them got into the car, with Sam holding the takeout in the back seat, and Bucky holding his prizes in the front seat while Steve drove them back to the compound.
"She's going to be excited to see all that," Sam grinned from his vantage point.
"I sure hope so" Bucky held the flowers a little closer to his body, excited to see you as soon as he got back.
