After your bath, Bucky was already waiting with a large meal that was more than enough for three or more people. You made love again, and again until you fell asleep into blissful dreams. When you woke up, Bucky was already ready. He had gotten up earlier than you and froze what foods you hadn't eaten in the fridge, that might go bad during the week away. He had also taken the time to pack everything up, keeping the guns hidden to your surprise, except for the one that he kept in his boot. You were feeling a little off, but refused to admit defeat to the flu-like symptoms and went with Bucky to the farmer's market where you met up with Sam, Steve, and Loki. Loki gave a soft smile, and promised to make you one of his famous tea's once you got home.

You started with going to visit Jack at the waffle truck, where to his surprise you asked for a little extra chocolate drizzle and Bucky followed your lead. The small group of you sat down to eat your breakfast and ate slowly. You drank it down with a fresh cup of coffee, courtesy of Sam who picked it up on his way to meet up with everyone. Your stomach was a little upset, but you sipped at your coffee regardless. Besides the flu-like symptoms, you were on cloud nine. You couldn't help but keep looking at the large engagement ring on your finger.
You walked through the farmer's market hand in hand with Bucky. You both stopped to pick up a few things. He was more into the beef jerky and strawberry flavored marshmallows for you. You picked out a few new books, but your to- read pile was really growing and you thought you should maybe slow down a little until you had more books finished. Bucky bought you a dozen red roses with a half dozen sunflowers mixed in for your bouquet of the week. That brought you to getting your crepes, and thankfully you were able to get off your feet since you were feeling a little dizzy. Steve went and bought the crepes with Sam and Bucky while you sat with Loki who looked at you with concern. You gave him a smile, but that didn't seem to fool him. He made you promise that you were going to rest when you got home, and you agreed.
When the guys came back from getting crepes Bucky looked concerned and felt your forehead, but didn't seem to be appeased. You playfully slapped him away and started digging into your crepe. You didn't want to make him any more worried than he already was, and just forced yourself to eat, even though for the first time in a very long time, you didn't think you could stomach anything further.

"Talk to me doll" Bucky said after you got home, and you were laying on the couch with Bucky's blue blanket. Alpine and Aurora were both laying on your hip and you just wanted to rest. You felt awful, and you couldn't tell if it was getting better or worse.
"What about?" you asked, refusing to open your eyes.
"You look like you feel sick," he said after a small hesitation.
"I feel like I have the flu," you admitted softly.
"Should I get someone to come take a look at you?" he asked worriedly.
"No, I'll be fine. I just need some rest baby" you finally opened your eyes and saw he was kneeling down beside you on the floor and watching you with unmasked concern.
"Can I do anything?" he asked.
"Just let me rest for a little bit, I'll be okay" you gave a soft smile. He nodded and got up and went into the kitchenette, and came back with a large bottle of water for you. He set it on the coffee table and grabbed his keys before giving you a kiss on your forehead.
"I'll be back, doll" he promised and he left. You figured he was giving you space like you asked, and going to see Steve. You quickly fell asleep while wave after wave of nausea hit you.
When you woke up again it was to someone setting down a cup of tea beside the bottle of water and you blinked in surprise to see Loki standing next to you. He waved his hand over the cup and a green light emitted from it.
"Sit up kitten, you need to drink your tea" he said softly. He took Alpine and Aurora off of you and sat down in the plush chair with them on his lap. You sat up and took the cup of tea and sipped at it.
"You've been bringing me tea a lot the last few weeks" you commented and he only shrugged. "What spell did you put on it?" you asked.
"Something to help with the nausea" he started scratching Aurora behind the ears. "Go on," he added. You continued to sip at your tea until the cup was finished, and you did feel a lot better than you had earlier. You had to hand it to Loki, he knew his spells.
"How did you know I was nauseous?" you asked after a while, the question only hitting you now.
"I know a lot about you, but I was in your head a little," he said unapologetically. "You should rest again," he added.
"I feel much better, thanks to you" you gave a wan smile.
"Let's not test the limitations of my magic today, shall we?" he chuckled. "I'll be quiet as a mouse," he promised.
"Alright, but I do feel better. Thank you" you laid back down and pulled the blanket up over your shoulders. You laid watching him, and he just casually petted the cats as though he had no care in the world to be anywhere else but right here. He started humming a tune you were unfamiliar with, but you felt at ease listening to it. "What is that?" you asked curiously.
"Asgardian lullabye" Loki gave a soft smile. "I thought you were resting?" he added with a smirk.
"I'm resting, but that doesn't mean we can't talk" you rolled your eyes.
"We don't have long before your darling soldier gets back, and then you'll insist on getting up" he huffed slightly.
"I thought he went to Steve's place" you said a little confused.
"No, he left the compound after visiting with Bruce. I saw him in the hallway and waited until he left to make my plans to come over. He was in a hurry" he advised you softly.
"Oh dear, I hate making him worry" you bit your bottom lip unsurely.
"One thing he often does with you is worry," he sighed softly. "Now close your eyes for a few minutes or so help me, I will use my magic!" he warned. You knew he was lying, but you closed your eyes regardless and took long deep breaths. You didn't like to worry anyone, but the last year would be your guess, it has been quite the rollercoaster. From bad dates, to finally being with Bucky. Being kidnapped and rescued, and your recovery. Now engaged. You liked the last part the best.
Loki went back to humming his Asgardian lullabye and you felt yourself falling asleep to it. It was definitely soothing, and something you wished you could engrave in your mind permanently.

"I'm back" Bucky's voice woke you up with a start and you saw Loki was still sitting in the chair. Bucky closed the door with his boot and came into the room more with a large paper bag and walked towards you. "Hey Loki," he nodded his head to his friend.
"I came to give her some tea to help with her nausea" Loki answered his unasked question. Bucky nodded and you sat up with a yawn.
"I got everything you need" Bucky set the bag down on the coffee table gently. He reached in and pulled out a large bottle of cranberry juice and a six pack of ginger ale. He then took out some gravol, tylenol, vitamin c, a hot water bottle that looked like a black cat, and then a couple of boxes that you couldn't place.
"What's this?" you asked, looking at the boxes curiously.
"This is where I will be taking my leave. I'll see you both at supper" Loki got up and set the cats down, seeming to know that this was going to be a private moment. He quickly swept out of the room and you looked at Bucky curiously.
"Babe?" you asked.
"You're very late" Bucky said with a slight flush on his cheeks.
"Late on what?" you asked, confused.
"Doll, you're late" he picked up two of the boxes and handed them to you and you read them. He had bought you three different kinds of pregnancy tests and you paled slightly, realizing he was right. You had thought about it over a week ago, but had forgotten about it completely. "I figured we could try three of them to be sure" he added in a small hopeful whisper. "I wanted to buy more, but the pharmacist said that even one test should be fine" he licked his lips.
"Okay, I get it. I'll go take them" you grabbed the third box and gave Bucky a quick kiss on the cheek. "I'll be right back" you smiled softly, feeling anxiety plague you. The lights flickered, giving you away, but you were determined not to let that stop you from doing this. Bucky looked so hopeful, you couldn't help but feel hopeful too.

You went into the bathroom and closed the door behind you, and opened all three boxes. You read over the instructions and felt grateful that you did have to pee. You took the tests themselves out of their sealed bag and lined them up on the counter beside the toilet. You sat down and you could hear Bucky pacing outside the door in the living room. You shook your head and took a deep breath before voiding your bladder, and you made sure to do each of the three tests. You put the cap back on the ends and cleaned up. You flushed, and washed your hands thoroughly before standing in front of the three tests lined up on the counter top.
"Did you do it?" Bucky asked through the door.
"It takes five minutes" you called out.
"Okay, I'll be right here. It doesn't matter what the test says. I'm here regardless, doll" Bucky said through the door before he started pacing again. You saw the power flicker as you felt your anxiety coming in waves. You wanted this to happen, but was it safe? Were you going to be able to raise little ones in this kind of environment? You found yourself starting to pace the floors as well as you anxiously awaited the results.
"Doll, it's been five minutes" Bucky said.
"Baby, no it hasn't" you giggled.
"Feels like forever" he sulked.
You checked the time on your phone and you licked your lips in anticipation of this moment. You went over and looked down at the tests and the lights stopped flickering. It felt like time had stopped all together.
"Babe?" Bucky called in. You didn't know what to say.
