Cuddle Bug (Bucky x reader)

A sweet awakening

When Bucky woke up in the morning he felt a lot of body heat coming from beside him, and he was pleasantly surprised. He looked down to his side and saw you were still nuzzled into him, your jaw slack, your eyelashes gracing your cheeks. He felt so lucky to have you there still. Aurora was curled up on your side, and purring loudly as she opened her blue eyes to look at him. He could tell she was a very happy kitty this morning. Alpine was behind you both on the back of the couch, and purring as well. He rubbed his hand up and down your side again, just taking in the curves under his hand. He tried not to hum too loudly in contentment, wondering at how right it felt to wake up with you beside him. He noted that he had slept longer than usual, and he was grateful for it. He heard his watch chirp and he pulled his wrist up momentarily to look at it, to see that it was almost time for you to get up. He frowned slightly knowing that Sam, Steve and Loki would come looking for both of you shortly. He continued to watch you sleeping, taking in every moment that he could, and cherishing it. He was still astounded you agreed so easily to being his girl. You hadn't had the conversation yet of what that entailed, but he was confident that things would go smoothly between the two of you. Your eyes started to flutter open slowly, and he gave a half smile, wanting nothing more to press his lips against yours. You gave a soft moan, and leaned into him again before he saw the realization hit you that you weren't in your own room. You slowly opened your eyes all the way and he saw a blush tint on your cheeks and ears as you slowly looked up and your eyes settled on his face. He couldn't help but smile proudly at you.
"Good morning, beautiful" his voice came out a little gravelly since he hadn't spoken in a long time, and hadn't had time to hydrate at all yet. He simply didn't want to move.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to..." you started sitting up fully, disrupting Aurora who meowed and jumped up on the back of the couch beside Alpine. Bucky didn't have the patience to wait any longer and he leaned in towards you and firmly kissed you on the lips, putting his emotions into the chaste kiss.
"You are right where I want you to be," he whispered huskily. You continued to blush, but your face broke into a smile, and he felt blessed by it. You slowly brought your hands up to touch his cheeks, and pulled him in for another soft kiss on the lips. "It's almost time to go to the farmer's market" he whispered to you, pulling back from the kiss and leaning his forehead against yours for a moment, and brushing his nose against yours sweetly.
"I'd better go, I'm sorry I crashed on your couch" you gazed into his eyes for a moment.
"Best night's sleep I've had in a long time. Don't apologize for something I wanted" he pulled away and kissed you on the forehead. You bit your bottom lip and he audibly groaned looking down at your lips hungrily.
"No, none of that, or else I'll never get changed" you whispered and got off of the couch. "Thank you then, for having me over" you gave a shy smile. Bucky's gaze fell to your hips and he studied your backside.
"Lace" he murmured and you almost missed it. He didn't miss your cheeks turning red that time.
"It's comfortable" you stammered, while heading to his door. Aurora jumped off the couch and quickly followed you, knowing there were treats that you liked to give out once you were dressed for the day. Alpine quickly joined her and Bucky watched confused as his cat rushed out of the room behind you.
"Where do you think you're going?" he called Alpine, who easily ignored him and disappeared.

You quickly chose a pink dress for the day when you went into your closet. According to the weather network it was going to be another hot day, and you didn't feel like sweating into your jeans today. You went to the bathroom first to use the facilities, wash up, and do some light makeup. You settled on some light lip gloss, instead of a lip stain for the day. You rushed back to your closet and slipped on some fresh undergarments, and slipped on your pink dress that dipped a little low in the front to show some of your chest off, and you sprayed on a light perfume. You picked out your black flats for shoes and hurried out to the living room to find the cats were waiting expectantly by the fridge where the treats were sitting on top of it. You giggled softly and went and gave them each a few treats and some scratches behind the ears before you heard a knock at the door. You grabbed your purse and put in a fresh bottle of water before opening the door. Bucky stood there in a pair of light blue jeans, and a tight fitting white shirt that showcased his vibranium arm easily. He seemed more confident today, and you loved it. Sam stood beside him in a pair of cargo shorts and a black t-shirt, while Steve wore blue jeans, and a blue Henley. Loki came down the hallway in her female form, wearing another green dress and black flats instead of heels. Her makeup was impeccable, and you wished you could look that flawless all the time. She even had her hair done perfectly down, while you had opted for a bun to keep the hair off of your neck.
"Good morning cuddle bug, you sleep okay?" Sam broke the silence.
"Good morning, I slept wonderfully" you beamed and walked out, leaving your door open enough for the cats to come and go.
"She slept with her sergeant, of course she slept well" Loki announced for everyone and your cheeks tinted pink again. Bucky held out his arm to you, and you laced your hand through it, stepping closer to him.
"You look beautiful this morning, doll" Bucky whispered to you.
"We are taking one of the SUV's again" Steve announced as the five of you started the descent down the stairs.
"I was worried about the leg room in my car or Sam's car" you admitted softly.
"I'm driving" Sam piped up quickly, racing down the stairs to get to the keys first. You couldn't help but giggle at his energy. You mused you weren't in as bad of a mood as you usually were in the morning, but didn't think too much about it. You just wanted to take the good mood for what it was.
You made it down the stairs, and Bucky moved away from you long enough to open the front door for you, before he took your hand and led you towards the SUV. Sam quickly jumped in the driver's seat, while Bucky opened the back door for you and you easily slid into the middle. Bucky jumped in beside you, and Steve decided to take the other side of you, leaving Loki the front seat. She seemed excited at the fact that she got shotgun for a change and quickly put on her seat belt. Bucky draped his arm over your shoulders, and his hand started doing small circles on your shoulder while Sam started driving towards your destination.
