Moving into the cabin

For the rest of the week, with the exception of Wednesday you were busy. The team had each gone on their small missions without a hitch. You found you were more focused on talking about work when you talked to Doctor Sloan on Wednesday morning, and on Wednesday afternoon you were training on your abilities with Wanda and Loki. Your control on your electric pulses were getting stronger, but it was taking less time for you to regain control of yourself again. Even with Wanda purposely triggering you, you would only let out a few pulses before you had a handle on it again. Bucky had been on a mission on that day, so you had to depend on yourself instead of his warm embrace to bring you back to the present. When he got back from his mission he just held you for over an hour still in his kevlar suit, his face nuzzled into the side of your neck. You merely sat on his lap facing him and let him have his fill. It seemed he had more anxiety about going back on missions than you did over the entire ordeal. Even Sam when he got back from his mission held you for an extended period of time, and had to stay in the same room as you for the rest of the evening keeping his watchful gaze on you.
You called all the merchants for your furniture and requested to have everything delivered on Friday afternoon, since the architect called and let you know that they would be done on Thursday, and would also be leaving a few windows open a crack to air it out since the paint on the walls would still be drying once they were done.
Bucky spent Thursday night packing an overnight bag for the weekend, while being closely monitored by Loki who wanted to make sure there were also weapons packed for while you were away at your cabin. Thor had taken the time to bring up some of Bucky's special knives that he usually used on missions. Sam and Steve had also brought a few guns to be packed, which Bucky took in stride. Scott promised not to leave early for his weekend to see Hope and Cassie, and to come help you move in, as did Clint, Peter, and Pietro. You had gotten your t-shirts from them as well on Tuesday, and had already worn them.
Steve finished his drawing of Alpine and Aurora and it made it to a place on your wall, along with photographs of the team from your day at the zoo. Both you and Bucky had made sure that each team member had a place on the wall. You even managed to get a photograph of Clint, Peter, Pietro, Scott, Tony, Pepper and Happy on your wall. You felt like it looked perfect. Your whole adopted family was in your living room, so when they were away from the compound, you would still be able to see them.

On Friday you wore your Spiderman t-shirt proudly as you got ready to go to work. Tony had agreed to let you work a half day before everyone in the compound was going to go with you to your cabin and see it for themselves and help you move in. Tony also wanted to make sure that the security system was working appropriately and that you knew where all the panic buttons were just in case something did happen. Even Loki was allowed to join for the occasion, and you were excited to have his feedback on how luxurious you had made your little cabin.
After lunch, Bucky quickly packed up your car while everyone else got into some of the various SUV's that Tony had on hand. Bucky held your hand as he drove towards the cabin, seeming confident in the direction he was taking. He even started slowing down when it was appropriate to get to your driveway. You had been taking in the scenery through the window at the brilliant colors of the autumn leaves, and how they were quickly falling to the forest floor.
Bucky pulled down the small driveway, and you saw that the large garbage bin that had been beside your cabin previously was now gone, and there was only a hint of it being there were the ground was marred. He parked to the side, and the other cars followed suit, leaving plenty of room for the delivery trucks.
"Wait for me doll" Bucky warned you as he turned off the ignition, and he got out quickly, running to your side of the car and opening your door. You nodded, and took his hand as you got out. The two of you went to the trunk where the weapons and overnight bag were stored away.
"Finally" Sam got out of his SUV and did a large stretch. "I can't wait to see the inside, this looks great Cuddlebug" he walked over and ruffled your hair. You hissed at him as you tried to quickly fix it. You looked at your front porch and saw that a few deliveries had already been made, and large boxes were up close to the door, against the wall.
"This looks charming" Loki got out behind Sam. "Be careful kitten, I did see more delivery trucks on our way here. You may want to go open the front door" he gestured for you to move forward. You quickly nodded and carried the lighter bag of just your clothes.
"Are you sure you don't mind watching our cats, Loki?" you asked, worried about leaving Aurora and Alpine alone for a weekend.
"I know where their kibble is for the suite, as well as their treats. I also know to give them fresh water twice a day. Worry not, I will take good care of them" he promised. Thor came over and patted him loudly on the back.
"You are a good man, brother" Thor said happily and Loki rolled his eyes in response. You couldn't help but giggle, and you unlocked the front door. You opened the door and the smell of fresh paint hit you like a truck. You touched a small piece of the wall and realized it was dried, and the house just needed to air out. You looked over and saw your rustic flower chandelier was installed in the dining room, and sighed happily seeing the whole house had really come together.
"Damn, look at this place" Sam came in behind you. You saw the moss green walls filled up most of the open space, and it complimented the flooring and kitchen perfectly. You waited for everyone to come in, and Bucky grabbed the bag from you before he wordlessly headed towards the bedroom to drop everything off.
"Wow, you really went all out" Scott patted you on the shoulder.
"It's home" you cooed happily. "I'll show you all the five cent tour" you said excitedly and headed towards the bathroom. The walls had been painted a dusty rose color, and you sighed happily.
"You need a curtain" Steve said as he came in while Nat and Wanda were both cooing over the way the bathroom was set up.
"I love your bathtub!" Wanda said excitedly.
"Man you can fit a few people in that shower, I love it" Pepper took a few more steps into the room. "I want something like this," she sighed softly.
"Done. I still have the name of the architect and contractor" Tony snapped his fingers and took out his phone.
"I love the chandelier in the bathroom idea, makes it seem fancy" Nat grinned at you.
"And I thought our bathrooms at the compound were fancy" Peter looked around a little awed.
"Come on, there's more to see!" you said excitedly, really happy to be showing off your cabin. It wasn't small like when you first bought it anymore, but they had kept the homey look to it on the outside, and most of the natural flooring from when you bought it. They seemed to color match the stain for all of the main floors. You brought them through the living room, dining room and kitchen. When you showed off your robin's egg blue bedroom the girls went to check out the amount of closet space you had first and you couldn't help but giggle. When you got upstairs Bucky took over showing off your office with its powder pink walls, and then the other four bedrooms explaining that they were going to be visitors rooms for now, but "HE" planned to one of them into a nursery. Thor chuckled when he saw the look on your face of shock that he was talking about it so easily in front of everyone. No one seemed phased by it, seeming to take it in stride.
Just as you were finishing showing the top floor you heard a truck pull in the driveway and you had to hurry downstairs to open the door.
"Alright, I'm going to get you some groceries for the weekend. I'm bringing Happy since you have plenty of helpers" Pepper announced as you went to stand out on the wrap around porch, waiting for the truck to back up. "And I already know about your weakness for strawberries, so Happy will bring them for you" she winked at you.
"You don't have to do that" you tried to argue.
"Nonsense, you're about to be very busy. We won't be too long" Happy patted you on the shoulder and led Pepper towards the SUV they had brought.
"I'm going to get some tools, and pick up some curtain rods" Tony announced from behind you, leading Bruce out of the house.
"I don't trust him to pick out good curtains, so I'm going" Nat said quickly, and she rushed to catch up with them.
"Wait! I can buy that stuff" you bit your bottom lip unsurely.
"Sure you can, so can we" Nat called over her shoulder. Both SUV's pulled out of the driveway quickly, and your attention went back to the delivery men. They opened up the back and you saw it was all of your kitchen appliances, the beds, the dining room set, and the living room set.
"The other truck is coming, we just need to unload first" one of the delivery drivers came over. Bucky and Steve were already getting started on bringing in the furniture that had been left wrapped up and on the porch.
"We've got this" Sam announced and headed to the back of the truck.
"Wait..." you started to argue.
"Let us help Princessa" Pietro chuckled and followed Sam. Everyone seemed to be filtering into the back while you watched them all carefully. Wanda used her magic to pick up your king sized mattress for your bedroom and she spared you a glance.
"I'll put this in your room" she said with a small smile.

Both trucks were quickly emptied out by the team, and Bucky was quick to put everyone to work for putting the furniture together. You were in the main bedroom with Sam and Steve trying to put together your new bed frame, while everyone else was sporadically around the house somewhere. Bucky had gotten Loki and Thor to work together to move around the furniture in the living room to make it more aesthetically pleasing, while he took over the kitchen and made sure everything was set up correctly. The dishwasher, stove, fridge and freezer fit in perfectly the way you had planned it, and you were pleased to see Bucky was really making himself at home.
The fridge had been plugged in for over an hour when Pepper showed back up with Happy and they put groceries away before you had the opportunity to come out and see what it was. Pepper just assured you it was already made meals, that you just had to heat up before you ate, and breakfast foods until you got dishes and things. It hit you like a truck how much more you still had to go buy, after having spent so much money already on everything.
Tony, Bruce and Nat showed up shortly after and went straight to installing the curtain rods, which fit your aesthetic, all through the cabin. Tony did however start with the bathroom, and you had to roll your eyes at that.
It was starting to be around supper time when, much to your surprise the house was already set up and ready for your weekend away. You just had to make a run to the store to get linens and dishes. You regretted that you hadn't thought that far ahead, but figured you could always shop online for more permanent things, and look in the store for temporary things for now. Everyone took the time to give you a hug before they left for the weekend, leaving you and Bucky with your cabin for the weekend. You stood on the porch and waved as all of the cars pulled out of the driveway, leaving just your car behind.
"You ready doll?" Bucky asked you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"Ready?" you echoed, and turned your face to look at him.
"We need to go shopping, don't we?" he asked, kissing the tip of your nose. He wiggled his eyebrows at you, and you couldn't help but giggle. You felt spent of energy, and he was still ready to keep going.
