"Alright, food is ordered." Colby said as he put his phone down. "Homework done?" I asked and looked at Jenna, Carter, and Sam.

"Yeah, Jule." Sam said as I grinned. "Good. Someone pick a movie." I said and leaned back into Colby's embrace.

"Can we watch a scary movie?" Carter asked with hope in his voice.

"Not while Juniper is awake." I said as Juniper crawled into my lap.

"She's gonna fall asleep ten minutes in anyways." Carter grumbled.

"We'll watch a scary movie this weekend after she goes to bed then." I said and tossed Carter the remote.

"Ugh. Fine." Carter said then started looking for a movie.

"Sissy, can you wrap me in a blanket?" Juniper asked and looked up at me. "Yeah, like a burrito?" I asked as she giggled.

"Yeah!" She said as Colby reached over and grabbed a blanket for me. "Pick that one." Sam said and pointed to some sort of super hero movie.

"Kay." Carter said then clicked on the movie as I wrapped Juniper up in the blanket. "That okay with you?" Colby asked Jenna.

"It's fine." She said with a shrug, focusing on the screen.

I thought Jenna and Colby's relationship was cute. He was like the older brother that she needed.

Sam and Carter needed a male figure in their lives for testosterone or something, but Jenna needed one too.

She needed to know that Colby would protect her and treat her like family for the rest of her life.

Jenna was timid around him at first though, not wanting to push his buttons.

I assume it was because of the abuse my mom had done to her, but Colby would never lay a hand on her.

After a couple months of living with him, I think she really started to warm up to him.

The fact I caught them talking earlier today meant they were at least more comfortable with each other.

That's all I could ask for.

We sat and watched the movie together before there was a knock on the door, causing me to flinch.

"It's just the food." Colby hummed then kissed my head. "Right." I whispered and watched as he stood up.

"Why are you so jumpy?" Sam asked as I shook my head. "Just got startled." I mumbled, focusing on the screen again.

I couldn't possibly explain to my siblings how fucked up I was because I would have to really go into detail as to why I was this way.

It was hard hiding such a big part of my life from them, but it was better this way. I refused to let them live in fear like I did.

When Colby came back he sat down and started distributing the food. "This looks so good." Carter said, causing me to laugh.

"And you shat on the idea of Chinese food." I said with a laugh as Juniper pressed her hands to her ears.

"Sissy!" She scolded as I portioned her food out. "Sorry, love." I said then kissed her head. It was funny how opposite our language had to be going from the gang to this.

The kids would scold Colby and I for swearing around them which was always kinda funny.

Sometimes they would let Colby slide because they liked him more than me.

They thought he was cool and mysterious since they haven't known him their entire lives. If only they knew what he did for a living before this.

They would lose their damn minds.
