"Come on!" Sam called out as he and Carter ran to the air hockey table. "Sissy, I want play this game." Juniper said and pointed to wack a mole.

"Uh.." I said and looked at Colby. "We'll be right over here, sweetheart. I've got my eye on you." He said as I nodded.

I didn't want to separate but I knew that Colby was going to watch out for Juniper and I while we were over here.

I had to put so much trust in him, but I used to put my life in his hands every day. This was nothing compared to what we would do in the past.

"Okay. Come on, love." I said then walked away with Juniper. We made our way to the game she wanted to play then started to play.

I tried to watch her but found myself eyeing the people around me more. It was mostly older parents watching their kids or even grandkids playing the games.

None of them were even paying attention to me or Juniper because why would they be. Nobody knew who we were here or what we used to do.

We were just a normal couple with normal kids doing normal things.

"I won!!" Juniper squealed happily. "Great job! Wanna play again?" I asked as she nodded. "Yep!" She said then jumped up and down happily.

I set the game up for her then watched her play. I could feel eyes on me as I did this but was hoping it would just be Colby.

I didn't have the time or energy to explain to Juniper why I was so scared of someone watching.

I just wanted to watch her play her games and be happy.

We played for a little while before someone came came over to me.

"Hey." A guy said causing me to look up. I instinctively put my hand around Juniper and pulled her closer.

"Do I know you?" I asked as he shook his head. "No, but I'd like to get to know you." He said with a grin.

"Uh..." I said, shifting uncomfortably. "Sissy.." Juniper said as she took a step closer to me. "Sister? I thought she was your daughter. Looks just like you." The guy said and took a step towards me.

Before I could say anything though, Colby was pushing the guy back with a hard look on his face.

"You got a problem, man?" The guy asked with annoyance. "Yeah, I do." Colby said as he stepped in front of me and Juniper.

"I'm not trying to cause an issue." The guy said as Colby shook his head. "This is my girlfriend, so back off. If I see you even look at her we're gonna have a bigger problem. Understand?" Colby asked and raised his brows.

"Whatever, dude." The guy said then walked away. As soon as he was gone, Colby turned to look at me.

"You okay?" He asked as I nodded and looked at Juniper. She had tears in her eyes as she looked up at Colby.

It made it all so real how much I was sheltering the kids.

Juniper was terrified to have been approached by that guy.

"It's okay, love. We're fine." I said then lifted her up. "How about we go to the ball pit? That sound good?" Colby asked as Juniper frowned.

"You have to go in." She said as Colby chuckled. "Done. I already beat Sam and Carter in air hockey, I might as well stick with my streak of acting like a kid." Colby said then took Juniper from me.

"John, Jackson, let's go." I said to Sam and Carter, waving for them to follow me.

"Is everything okay? Co-I mean Robert looked really angry." Sam said as I nodded. "Everything is okay. We're gonna go to the ball pit. You can play a game over that way." I said and followed Colby.
