Jenna's POV

"Jenna, dinner is ready." Devyn said as she poked her head into my room. "Thanks." I mumbled and focused on the book in front of me.

I liked Devyn and Corey and everything but I surprisingly missed having Julia and Colby around. The others have been taking it way harder than I was on the outside, but internally I was struggling.

Yeah, I gave them a lot of shit and I probably wasn't the nicest to them but I loved them both and I missed having them around.

"Everything okay?" Devyn asked as I nodded. "Yeah." I lied as she sighed and came into the room.

"I know it's hard having your sister be away, but hopefully she'll be back soon." Devyn said as I nodded.

"If she lives." I said simply. "She's gonna live." Devyn said as I finally looked up. "You know about the gang stuff, right?" I asked as her brow scrunched with confusion. "Julia told you about it?" She asked as I nodded.

"Do you think Colby is dead? And now Julia is gonna be killed?" I asked and put my book to the side.

"I can't really answer that. I don't know anything about it. I can get Corey though, maybe he can answer some questions for you." She said as I shook my head.

"No, I'll try to catch him later. I guess I'm just a little worried." I said as she nodded. "Which is totally understandable." She said then put her hand on my back, rubbing it comfortingly.

When we got downstairs everyone was sitting at the table with a bowl of spaghetti in front of them.

"Jenna!" Juniper squealed happily as she looked at me. I didn't make much of an appearance around the house because I was overwhelmed by all of this stuff going on.

I knew that if Julia was killed, we would essentially be orphans.

It was stressing me out.

"Hi." I said then sat next to her. "Glad you joined us." Carter said with a reassuring smile. I didn't know how he was being so calm about all of this, considering he knew everything that I did.

I guess he was just better at hiding the fear.

"Yeah." I said then took a forkful of pasta and put it in my mouth. I was impressed that Devyn and Corey were putting in such an effort into caring for us.

It really wasn't their responsibility to make us homemade meals every night. I guess that's just what normal babysitters did though.

"So..." Corey said awkwardly as we silently ate. "Do you know when Jule and Colby will be back?" Sam asked with hope in his tone.

"Uhh..hopefully soon. I'm not sure. I don't really talk to them that much." He said as Sam frowned.

"They aren't gonna be back before Thanksgiving." He said quietly. "Don't lose hope. Jule will try her best to be here." Carter said as I shook my head.

"I'm full." I said then pushed my chair out and went to leave the room. I felt like I was going to cry, knowing that we would probably never see Julia or Colby again.

Our normal life was going to be flipped once again.

I made my way upstairs then went to my room so I could be alone again. I started to cry as I looked up at the ceiling, only to be interrupted by a knock on the door a couple minutes later.

"Jenna?" Corey asked as I frowned. "Leave me alone." I said as he came into the room.

"Nahhh, I've learned not to mess with Colby or Julia." He said and came to sit next to me on the bed.
