When I got back to the house, I went to hide in my room. I was honestly ashamed of myself for doing what I did. I would just have to get over it.

This was all the plan to get to Sam and Colby.

I walked up to the room then went to flop onto the bed.

"Sorry you had to do that." I mumbled to the unborn baby in my belly. It felt ridiculous to talk to it since I wasn't even certain it had ears yet.

It brought me comfort though, knowing I was nurturing and caring for a baby throughout all this craziness.

Thinking like that would maybe mean I wouldn't be as heartless.

I was doing this for the future of me and my baby.

It was hard to sleep since the adrenaline and fear was still coursing through my veins. Not only was I worried about the missions and tasks I would have to do, I was worried about hiding this from the gang.

Nate was always nice and caring, I knew I could trust him to share it but I physically couldn't. I had made a promise that I wouldn't.

I laid awake most of the night, only getting an hour or two of actual sleep.

I knew it wasn't good for the baby or for myself to have such little sleep but I was so restless wanting to get all these tasks done so I could be reunited with Colby.

When it was an appropriate hour I went to get ready, taking my vitamins and getting a shower in.

Once I was done with all that I made my way to the office, grabbing some breakfast on the way.

"Good morning, Julia." Steve said as I walked down the hallway. "Morning." I mumbled then went straight to Sam's office.

When I got in there I sat behind the desk and went to check the email, seeing a new one from Pops.

Very good, Juliana. Come to the house by two, you'll be given instructions when you get here.

I sighed then put my hand on my belly, rubbing it slightly. I had a sick feeling I would be in more danger so I was hoping Nate had the protection I needed.

I stood up then went to go find Nate. When I got to his office I knocked then crossed my arms.

"Hey, Jules." Nate answered as he opened the door. "Do you have that vest?" I asked as he nodded.

"You have to tell me why you need it though." He said as I shrugged.

"Shouldn't I be worried about extra protection? Is that a weird concept after the amount of times I've been shot?" I asked as he shrugged.

"You've got a point. Are you pregnant though, Julia?" He asked and went into his office to grab the vest.

"It's rude to ask such a thing." I said then went to grab it.

"Do I use these straps?" I asked as he nodded. "Yeah, they go right over your shoulders and clasp in the front. It's not the most inconspicuous design but it'll work." He said as I nodded.

"Great, thanks. I'm gonna be out running a couple errands, then I'll be back." I said then turned to leave.

"Julia." Nate said and grabbed my arm. "You know you can trust me with anything, right?" He said, stopping.

"I know." I said then pulled my arm back and left the room. I felt bad that I was hiding this from him but it was for our own good.

He would be happy when I found the guys.

As I walked down the hallway I put the vest on under my clothes, trying to get it situated.

Nate was right when he said it wasn't super inconspicuous but I could hope that nobody would notice it under one of Colby's sweatshirts.
