"Bye, guys! Have a good day at school! Make sure to use your ointment for your rashes!" I called out to the older kids, trying to embarrass them on their last day.
"Julia!" Jenna hissed as I laughed and waved. "It's not embarrassing to have a butt rash, Jen. Totally normal!" I said as she turned to go quickly into the school.
Sam and Carter were laughing at her embarrassment as they waved to me and retreated into the school.
Once they were all gone I leaned my head back and took a deep breath.
Getting all of the kids ready for school and dropping them off with little to no energy was hard but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.
I was honestly a little fearful to drive but I needed to get back home to feed Maisie.
Luckily I was able to get home without literally dying, however when I got home I was met the sound of a crying baby.
"Thank God." Colby said as I came into the living room. "I know, she's hungry. You could have bottle fed her." I said with a laugh as he nodded. "She likes the tit." He said as I took her from him.
"She likes the tit or you like that I pull my tits out." I said then sat down and positioned her. "Juliana White, I cannot believe you would say that." He said with fake shock.
"In reality I was about to get her a bottle but I think she really does like it straight from the tap more." Colby said as I nodded.
"I agree, I also am obsessed with feeding her." I said and looked down at Maisie who was happily eating.
"How was dropping the kids off?" Colby asked as he sat next to me. "Good. Juniper picked out her own outfit so she looks like a clown but I think it's adorable." I said as he breathed a laugh.
"I can't even imagine what she picked." He said as I leaned my head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around me.
"It was crazy but not the most insane thing she could have chosen." I explained and closed my eyes.
"I can't wait to see it." Colby said and rubbed my arm to keep me from falling asleep. "I think we should start looking for houses." I mumbled.
"You think so?" He asked as I nodded. "At least to know what we are getting into." I said as he sighed.
"Let's maybe get to a point where we are both well rested before we make big decisions like that." Colby said as Maisie finished eating.
"I am perfectly capable of making big decisions right now." I said with a yawn.
"Right. I'll burp her and keep her company. You go get some rest." Colby said as I nodded. "See you in two hours." I said then handed Maisie over to him. "Then right back to bed." He said then kissed me.
"Get some rest, sweetheart." Colby said as I nodded. "I love you." I said then made my way out of the room and upstairs.
Once I got to the bedroom, I got in bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
I was so glad that Colby and I worked as a team and both worked on trying to get us both as well rested as possible.
It was difficult keeping a healthy relationship with each other when we hardly saw one another but we both knew we loved each other.
It was just hard that our entire relationship right now was being parents. We never really had time to check up on each other or see each other without there being a task at hand.
I missed being able to just talk to him.
After only a few short hours, I woke up to my alarm which meant it was time to feed Maisie. I got out of bed and slowly made my way out of the room.
