Colby's POV
"Julia's here!" Sam said with excitement as the kids got in the car. "Here." Julia said with a half wave.
She was currently in a bad mood because she was hungry but I was going to get her some donuts as soon as possible.
"Does this mean we're getting a snack?" Carter asked as I chuckled. "We're getting Julia and the baby a snack, if that's what you're asking." I said and started driving to the donut shop Julia liked.
"Can we get some, sissy?!" Juniper asked as Julia nodded as she took a deep breath. I glanced over to see she was having a contraction.
I was beyond worried for her because I was scared for her to go into labor.
Julia has been through so much both mentally and physically that I knew she could handle it but this was going to push her to a new limit.
I knew I would be there for her through every step of the way, but we both knew that we weren't ready yet.
I didn't like that Julia was having contractions at this point, but I trusted that she knew her body well enough to know when she was in labor.
I was gonna call the doctor later though.
"Ugh!!!" Julia groaned as we pulled up to the donut shop. There was a long line for the drive thru.
"Carter, go in and order as many donuts as possible. Whoever gets served first wins." I said and pulled my card out for him to take.
"What if we get served at the same time?" Carter asked as he took the card. "Then we'll have a bunch of donuts. Hurry." I said as he nodded and got out of the car.
I got in the drive thru line as Julia looked over at me.
"I'm sorry." She said as I scrunched my brow. "Why are you sorry?" I asked and looked over to see tears in her eyes. "I'm insufferable." She said as I shook my head.
"No, darling. You're not." I said gently then kissed her forehead.
I hated that she felt like she was being a monster or that she was insufferable. She was just severely pregnant and very uncomfortable.
She definitely had a pass.
Carter was actually able to get the donuts before I could in the drive thru.
He came out of the shop with probably six boxes of donut.
" I bought them all." He said as he opened the door. "All of them?" I asked with a laugh.
"Every single donut they had." He said as Julia turned to look at her little brother.
"Did you tip them?" She asked as Carter handed her a box of donuts. "Was I supposed to?" He asked as I pulled my wallet out.
"Yes. Give them this." I said then handed him a hundred dollar bill.
"Okay!" Carter said then ran back into the store. As he did this I looked over at Julia who was now taking a huge bite of a cream filled donut.
"I'm gonna cum." She mouthed so the kids wouldn't hear her in the back seat. "Jesus Christ." I said with a laugh as Carter came back to the car.
"Alright, everyone happy?" I asked and looked back at the kids.
"I love donuts!" Juniper said with a smile. "I can't believe he bought all of them." Sam said then laughed.
"You guys can bring some to school tomorrow for your teachers." Julia said as I turned to start driving us home.
"Want a bite?" Julia asked as I drove down the road. "I'll have one when we get home." I said and focused on the road.
"Hmmm..okay." Julia said then looked out the window.
