I sat there hands in my hair while I leaned over the toilet; puking my guts up and into the dirty toilet water. I had been throwing up all day and it won't stop! I didn't know if it was something I drank... Something I ate... Or I was just sick with the stomach virus.
When I knew I was done, I sat up and flushed the toilet watching everything go down into the sewers. I made my way toward the sink and washed my hands really scrubbing all the germs off. I grabbed my toothbrush and my toothpaste from the bathroom cabinet and immediately start scrubbing my teeth and my tongue wanting to get this sour, acidic taste out of my mouth. I spit into the sink and rinsed my mouth out with a minty mouth wash.
I walked out of the bathroom and put on one of Five's blazers so I could get some comfort of feeling like he was here when in reality, he was at work. I made my way down the Academy stairs and walked into the kitchen making myself a glass of coffee. It was much needed this morning. I took my coffee cup and went upstairs to the living room so that way I can sit on the couch, admire my husband's painting over the mantel place, read a book and enjoy my coffee in complete peace... and quiet.
Once I reached the living room, I sat down on the couch with my coffee and a book in hand; ready to see what happens next. I started flipping through the pages trying to find my spot. It was nice and quiet in the Academy today. Everyone was out doing whatever it is that they do. The only sound to be heard was the sound of the birds chirping from outside and the sound of the cars driving outside. That soon came to an end when Alison walked through the door.
"Y/n, I'm home!" I hear her call out causing me to sigh, not ready for my peace and quiet to be over just yet.
"Hey Alison!" I call out, not leaving the couch. I hear her heels clanking on the tile flooring coming into the living room.
"Hey... are you ok?" She asks me once she sees my current state.
"No I've been throwing up all morning. I don't know why... I can't tell if I ate or drank something that was bad or if I just have the stomach virus. But, whatever it is it's making me sick as fuck..." I explain. She gives me a look of comfort and understanding.
"Awwwe I'm sorry... how about you go upstairs and lay down in bed. I'll make you some chicken noodle soup with some water and I can call the pharmacy for a antibiotic for you if it helps..." She offers. I give her a look of appreciation.
"That sounds really good actually... thank you Ali..."
"Don't mention it... come on I'll help you upstairs..." And she did.
Any quick movement was enough to make me hurl and I think she caught onto that. She was being extremely patient with me while helping me to mine and Five's room. We got to the final flight of stairs and I felt too sick to even go up them. I instantly put my hand over my mouth indicating that I was gonna be sick.
"Ok... ok ok ok... it's ok come here. Let's take a seat ok? Nice and easy..." She said, helping me to sit down on the stairs. We sat for a minute or two before she started talking again.
"Ok... you ok, bug?""Yeah... I feel a little better now that it passed..." I answer while she starts rubbing my back.
"Are you ready to try again yet or do you just wanna wait a little longer?"
"We can go..."
"Ok... let's get you up then, yeah?"
