Earlier that afternoon, Rafe went to go visit Barry in order to discuss more on how to deal with his dad.

"Rafe, man what are you doing here? Whatcha want now?" Barry groaned as he saw Rafe pull up.

"Listen, Barry, alright?"

"Trust me, Country Club, I'm listening." He threw a beer at Rafe before cracking one open for himself.

"Listen, I've been going through it over and over again, okay?"

What is he talking about?

"You said it yourself, right? The only way this thing with the gold goes south, is my dad. Alright?" Rafe paced around, pausing to take a drink, "We gotta nip that shit in the bud. We gotta take him out. And anyways, who's gonna know? He's already dead. You can't kill someone who's already dead."

Is he serious?

"Hey, if my pop stays here, alright, our deal-" he sat down across from Barry, throwing money on the table in front of him, "Us doing business together, using the company to launder the money, all that fifty-fifty shit? All that's gone."

"So what you're asking me right now is something that once it's done, it cannot be undone. There's no going back." Barry leaned forward, "I'm talking about your family, talking about your pops, talking about your blood. And blood, well, that complicates things. Hypothetically speaking, let's say I do it. And then for whatever reason, you decide to change your mind. You sell me out."

Rafe pursed his lips, shaking his head, "No, yeah, this has been a long time coming. He's always had his boot on my neck. Holding me down. That's all gonna be over soon, alright?"

"Alright, Rafe."

Rafe stood up, drinking his beer as he walked towards his truck, "I'm not changing my mind."

But he would.

Of course he would.

And Barry knew that.

Rafe noticed when he got home that Iris' car was gone from Tanny Valley, making him groan softly. He wanted to see her, but clearly she was busy with something. Likely busy with Sarah and god knows what else after that shit the night before.

He waited for hours, checking in on Tanny Valley, not seeing her, and plus, she wasn't answering her phone, which wasn't helping.

Until...

The last ring on call number 100000....

"Hey, hey-"

"Well, fuck, Iris, it's nice to finally hear your voice."

"Rafe, I left my phone at home."

"Where have you been all day?"

"Are you drunk?"
