Iris arrived back on Kildare Island a mere four days after she first left. She knew she wouldn't be long. And she hoped the people she left behind weren't too upset with her.
She was happy she went.
She got to be there for Sarah, when Ward died for the second time.
She got to be there for John B, when Big John died for the second time.
And she got to be back with the Pogues, on another crazy adventure.
From this, their lives would forever be changed.
"I'm going to John B's, but please, please tell Rafe, Iris." Sarah pleaded.
Iris nodded, "I will."
Iris stepped into her home a few minutes later.
"Hello?" Her dad called out, hearing the door shut.
"I'm home." She replied, singing slightly.
"Oh, Iris!" Rich exclaimed as he hurried towards the door, pulling her in for a hug, "You're back, wow, you're back-Lily!"
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" She yelled as she rushed down the stairs and around the corner, "Oh, my baby!"
"Hi mom." She whispered, "Sorry, dad, hi."
"We're happy you're already home."
"So am I." She muttered, "But I have to tell you guys something."
Lily widened her eyes, "Oh no, what is it?"
Iris gulped, glancing between her parents, "It's Ward. He, he's dead. He's dead for real this time. I saw, we saw, him die."
"You-what?" Lily gasped.
"So he was alive...I knew it." Rich muttered, "Wait, you watched him die? Iris, why didn't you, why didn't you help, we raised you to-"
"He sacrificed himself for Sarah and was shot multiple times and he jumped off a cliff. There was no saving him." She explained.
"Wow." Lily whispered, "He's really gone."
"He really is." Rich agreed.
"Oh!" Lily exclaimed, putting her hand over her mouth.
"What?" Iris asked.
"Rafe is going to be so upset when he hears."
Iris chewed the inside of her cheek, "I know. I have to tell him. I told Sarah I would."
"Oh and Sarah, oh Sarah, my god, where, where is she? She should be here. We're the closest thing she has to family here besides Rafe."
Iris shook her head, "I tried to get her to come here, but John B is her family, and the Pogues too."
