We stayed in that position for some minutes, clinging to each other as he whispered words of love to me, making me blush from time to time.

His body wrapped around me, making me so warm, and his words tendered my heart, especially how his voice sounded, reeking with affection.

I didn't even know when I went to sleep.

Actually, I can't tell how long I had dozed off, but when I woke and opened my eyes, I was faced with his pair of green eyes on me as if he were scanning my face. He was lying on his side, propped up on one elbow, his hand supporting his head as he maintained a steady gaze at me with a smile on his face.

"You didn't sleep?" I beamed, feeling the duvet that was over my body.

"I slept, but I woke before you and took the opportunity to stare at you more. You look prettier and sexier when asleep with your small pouty lips slightly apart and a little smile gracing your face." He whispered, making me chuckle.

"My cheeks might burn from blushing a lot. You're making me float."

He laughed softly and helped me sit up.

"I think it's time I make you mine. I'm the jealous type, and without marking you, I can't be at peace." He breathed, those eyes squinting at me. "The mark is a warning to guys out there, especially your first mate, to stay off you or I'll rip out his heart."

I laughed happily, feeling butterflies in my stomach. "You're right, sir." I winked.

He then helped me up from the bed, and we both stood on the floor facing each other, his eyes getting darker in passion as they penetrated mine.

"I love you." He said with a voice filled with longing desires, covering the space between us, and then his fangs appeared and his eyes became striking silver as he became more enigmatic.

His presence around me suddenly became more intimidating, captivating, and possessive, with an aura of regal power that left me breathless.

As he reached out and cupped my face in his cool hands, a shiver ran down my spine. His touch sent tingles through my skin, and I couldn't help but lean into it, drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

"I've waited centuries for you," Jaden whispered, his voice tender and filled with desire. "You are my destiny, my mate."

His words filled me with a mix of emotions. It was overwhelming, and the wolf part of me was hesitant about the eternal connection with a vampire, unsure of what it meant. But another, bigger part of me craved the intimacy and love that seemed to flow between us.

It took a few seconds for my wolf part to give in as it realized the man in front of us was the knight in shining armor we needed. Callen had rejected and crushed us under his feet, and Jaden is the man for us.

I smiled and nodded, speechless. My heart was just thumping in so much joy as I saw his eyes. There was a vulnerability in them—a yearning for this deep, eternal connection with me.

As his lips lowered to my neck, I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him firmly.

His fangs sank into my neck, and a gasp escaped my lips as I held me tighter, but then the initial pain was quickly overtaken by a rush of pleasure and euphoria that I couldn't comprehend. My body responded to his touch, and I felt an inexplicable bond forming between us.

But as the connection between us deepened, something unexpected happened. A surge of power erupted from within me, sparking great forces that had long been locked away. It was as if the act of marking was unlocking the true potential of my being.
