CONTINUED SCENE
INT. TARHUN HOUSE - KITCHEN - MORNING
REYHAN
(politely)
Emir, would you like some more soup?
Emir is lost in his thoughts for a moment, then finally responds.
EMIR
(distracted)
Huh? Oh, no, Reyhan, I've had enough. Thank you.
He leaves for the office, still puzzled by Reyhan's ability to act like nothing significant occurred between them.
INT. EMIR'S OFFICE - MORNING
As Emir sits at his desk, he finds it difficult to concentrate on his work. Thoughts of Reyhan and their shared moment continue to intrude on his mind.
EMIR
(to himself)
Why does she act like it never happened? If it doesn't bother her, then why should I carry this weight? Maybe I should just let it be.
Emir decides to try and put the encounter behind him and focus on his work, but the memory of their passionate kiss still lingers in his thoughts.
CUT TO
INT. TARHUN HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - MORNING
Reyhan was coming downstairs and was surprised to find Halil at the entrance, hesitates but then offers him a chance to explain.
REYHAN
(surprised)
Halil, what are you doing here? Leave, I said.
Halil, looking genuinely remorseful, pleads with Reyhan for an opportunity to make amends.
HALIL
(apologetic)
Reyhan, please, just give me a chance to explain. I never intended to hurt you. What I did... it was because I was led to believe that you were meant to be mine. But I've come to realize that you can't force someone to love you. What I felt for you, it wasn't love at all. I'm here to apologize for my mistakes. I've done so wrong by you, all because of Suna. It's hard to believe she's my sister and she manipulated me like this.
Reyhan, showing her understanding nature, reassures him.
REYHAN
(gently)
It's alright, Halil. Sometimes, realization comes when it's the right time. Come inside; would you like some coffee?
Halil, with a grateful smile, nods, and they both head inside for coffee, beginning to mend the strained relationship.
CUT TO
INT. TARHUN HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - EVENING
Emir returns home and is surprised to find Halil and Reyhan together. His initial reaction is anger.
EMIR
(angry)
What are you doing here, Halil? And Reyhan, you're sitting here with him as if nothing happened?
Reyhan intervenes, attempting to diffuse the situation.
REYHAN
(calmly)
Emir, please, calm down. Halil has apologized for his mistakes. And, in all fairness, we can't put all the blame on him.
Emir's expression softens, and he reluctantly sits on the sofa with Halil and Reyhan. However, as they engage in conversation and share laughter, Emir starts feeling a twinge of jealousy.
EMIR
(in his mind)
Look at her, how she's laughing. She's never looked this happy with me.
Emir abruptly stands up.
EMIR
(to the others)
I have a headache. I'm going to the room to rest. You guys carry on.
He leaves the room, struggling with his emotions and the growing jealousy he feels.
