Honestly, this place looked almost like a giant fantasy workshop, tall roof, decorated minimally and designed fully for functionality yet that gave it its own unique vibe.
On one corner were my alchemists working tirelessly, on the other were my builders working tirelessly and so on. Shuri looked around in amazement at the undead industrial revolution going down in my basement.
Eventually, we both arrived at the centrepiece of my mansion and base. A giant imposing metal black pillar covered from base to ceiling in talismans.
I heard an audible gasp of amazement from Shuri who was actually an exorcist who would probably understand to an extent just how amazing this single pillar was.
Taking a moment to admire my work I addressed Shuri.
"So? I know you have something you want to say to me. You have been hesitating for a while now."
"Yes, I wanted to thank you Akira-dono for letting me meet my daughter once again. I do not if you are aware but the afterlife is not particularly kind to a heretic like me." She bowed her head as I nudged my chin motioning her to continue.
"So I wanted to express my gratitude to you Akira-dono for allowing me to stay here once more. I also wanted to thank you for taking care of my dear Akeno." She smiled.
With her right now I guess I could cast out my bait.
"Shuri, what if I could say I could revive you fully? Not as a spirit or apparition but a full person." I glanced at her who seemed shocked.
"Is, is something like that actually possible?" She approached me with a hopeful gaze in her eyes. Desperation is one hell of a motivator.
With how desperate she is she would probably be willing to do anything to get revived.
