*The next day. *

Zaria's Pov

School today sure was something. It was extra quiet, because Tracey wasn't there at all. Dewayne looked like he was in a whole other head space. I just decided to give him space, because everyone around the school knew what had happened and I knew the last thing he probably wanted to do at the moment was talk. Yea she wasn't worth shit, but he was blindsided by her cheating scandal. I hate seeing him sad, I know he has to go through what he's feeling at his own time.

While sitting with my friends, I learned they had some dates planned. Stace was supposed to go to the aquarium with Dev while Candy and Tre were going to Main event. I knew that it was going to happen for them soon because of the chemistry they all had, so I'm excited to see how things go for them.

They promised after everything happened and they were settled that they we would get on a group call and they would tell me. Crazy how today would be a big day for all of us.

The final bell rang and I rushed to the bathroom to change changed. Today I wore a chill outfit that consisted of a oversized sweater and a pair of my high waisted jeans.

I was going to change here and head to work to ensure I wouldn't be late. I rushed to bathroom to change. I made sure I lotioned up and applied perfume. As I slid into my heels, I was pleasantly surprised to see they fit comfortably. Next, I quickly took my hair out of its low bun and brushed it gently. Last wash day, I blow dried my hair so that I could wear loose wand curls for work. I felt a little self conscious in the midi dress because it clung to my body, but because it was a pretty color and made of a comfortable knit fabric, I decided to keep it on. Pairing that with some borrowed accessories from Ms. Evans, my outfit came together. One I applied my matte lip gloss it was a done deal.

Practically dashing out of the school, I made my way to the bus stop

Practically dashing out of the school, I made my way to the bus stop. I know I could have easily got a ride, but I didn't want to have to depend on the girls because, I want them to be ready for the dates without interruption from me. So I told them I had already secured a ride so they wouldn't worry.
