You're honestly one of my best friends and I want you to know that I'll always be there for you. We've only known each other for, what? Six months? It's only been five months and I'm dying to meet you. One day, I'm just going to show up on your doorstep, sobbing because I'll finally be able to meet one of the greatest people I will ever meet. When we finally get our LA apartment and move in across from Scott and Mitch, we can have our matching Scömìche blankets and feast on cheesesteak and Tim Tams all day, watching SnapChats on our TV. You mean the world to me and I hope you never forget it💜💜 I love you😘

sorry this chapter sucks balls but you should be used to it by now

Recap:
I make sure my phone's in my back pocket before strolling down the stairs.

"I'll see you later Skylar," Mr Turner waves and I smile softly.

"Hopefully Mr Turner."

"I laughed at her. "You must be really blind to think that my flaws don't affect me."
She just shrugged and picked up a tiny flower in her hand. Twirling it, she began, "look at nature. Look at the flowers. Have you ever walked into a garden or a park and said, "that flower would be more beautiful if it were greener. Or taller? Maybe if its petals turned blue?" No, you haven't. Because nature was created perfect just as it is, just as it always will be. And so are we. Humans, you, me, we are a part of nature. We are perfect just as we are."

I was quiet for a while; her thoughts began to unravel inside my mind as if she was a knitted sweater with torn sleeves."- Excerpt from therapy, a beautiful book by @julixtta

As I left the house, nerves seeped into my bones.

You can do this. It's just Shane.

Yeah, your ex-boyfriend.

Shut up.

I snort at my mind's brilliant comeback and walk away from the house, down the street Kyle and I walked up. I walk on the highway (I saw no path to go underneath instead of risking my life) across the slightly creepy bridge, which serves no purpose whatsoever as there is no water underneath, and then continue down the street. The first building I come across is a.... ahem, unreliable pharmacy.

If I'm being honest, I would only go in there if I wanted to get stabbed.

I hasten my pace when I notice a man inside staring at me in the I'm-Going-To-Find-Out-Where-You-Live-And-Eat-You Shia LaBeouf way.

Aw, the nostalgia.

The next shop I find is a small bakery with amazing smells wafting through the door. My steps falter slightly and I pause in my journey.

Just have an apple pie. Start small. You'll be okay.

You'll be fat.

Shut up. Skylar, Shane wouldn't want to see you not eating again, would he?

With that thought in mind, I enter the bakery. I take a deep breath, smiling at the delicious smells.
