Ok, I don't normally do this but it's my birthday and I thought I'd reward myself by rewarding all of you!!

I spent the rest of the morning wandering Asgard with Jane and Thor and aside from her love for astrophysics and my love for Loki, Jane and I actually got along quite well. Unfortunately, the two of us didn't have that much time to chat between Thor's long winded tales of things that had happened to him in certain historical places. Even if it was as simple as falling in the mud, he talked for twenty long minutes about it and how it was never his fault. It wasn't until we got back to the palace that she started a conversation of her own with him.

"When you came for me, you knew I was in trouble."

"Well, Heimdall had lost sight of you, you were no longer on Earth."

"How's that possible?"

"I believe you were and you weren't." Now even I was confused by that, "The Nine Worlds travel within Yggdrasil, orbiting Midgard much the way your planets orbit a sun. And every five thousand years, the worlds align perfectly and we call this the Convergence." By the way they were standing, I decided it would be smart to shift off to the side but continue to eavesdrop on what he was saying. How come Loki had never said anything to me about this? "During this time, the borders between worlds become blurred. It's possible you found one of these points. We were lucky they remained open, once the worlds passed out of alignment, then the connection is lost." The conversation tapered off and I stopped listening.

"Don't let him hear you say that." Frigga's voice was the next thing that caught my attention but she wasn't talking to me. Loki was trailing behind her until he saw me. Then he diverted his path and came to me instead.

"Jane, please meet Frigga, Queen of Asgard, my mother." I peeked around the corner and saw that Jane had the same reaction I did. Fidgeting and stuttering.

"Well? What have you learned."

"About what?"

"About her."

"Not much. It's kind of hard when Thor is lamenting that you pushed him into the mud in front of some famous statue." Loki's face fell.

"He will never change in some respects I suppose. He was the one who pushed me. In front of the entire court and all the nobles. He was very pleased with himself for a good long century."

"Did you ever get him back?"

"Not until..." He trailed off, leaving the answer unsaid but it was clear that the end of that sentence was, "But even then he didn't get embarrassed as badly as I." There wasn't much I could say that could console him so I said the only thing I could.

"I'm sorry."

"Just...oh, how do you mortals put it? Shut up and kiss me." His hands were suddenly on the back of my head, pulling me towards him. It took little effort for him to push me up against the wall, moving his hands to my waist and hoisting me up to his height. The only thing I could do was grab his shoulders and hang on for dear life. The kiss lasted for ages, it was by far the longest kiss we had ever shared. We kissed until my lungs demanded air and my head felt light and then some. At this point, Loki went as far as to give me some of his air just to prolong our intimate moment.

When we finally parted, my chest was heaving and my heart was racing but I didn't pull away. We remained touching at the forehead and at the nose. Even Loki was clearly winded.

"Wow." I panted as soon as I could find my words. He had just kissed me like he never would again.

"Loki! Must I remind you that you are in a public place?" It seemed that Jane hasn't noticed Loki until Frigga spoke to him but she just tried to hide herself behind Thor.
