I'm obsessed with the show, Critical Role.

For those of you that don't know what it is, it is a Dungeons & Dragons game played by voice actors. It is on the YouTube channel, Geek and Sundry, which also has a twitch channel. The show itself is live streamed every Thursday night, and uploaded to YouTube on Monday(?).

It's amazing and I've fallen in love with the characters. (Matt Mercer is the DM like come on people! Overwatch people, Matt is McCree! And for those of you that have watched Mr. Mom, Kenny is all grown up and is there.)

Anyway, I was thinking over the different characteristics of Vox Machina (the name of the group) and started to think about what would happen if the Sidemen took the place of the characters.

Now, it's not perfect. They don't match entirely, so that's why some of them overlap, you'll see.

Characters

Vik: I see Vik as both Percy and Pike. I can see him being the gunslinger of the group. Tinkering away at new gadgets, but I can also see him being a cleric. I can see him as this little gnome that's best friends with a Goliath and heals the group and keeps them in line.

Simon: Either Keyleth or Vex'ahlia. I can see him as the socially awkward Druid that's learning their way in the world. I can also see him as the cunning half-elf ranger. Befriending as fucking bear and kicking ass with a bow. I just can.

Josh: Josh is kinda tricky. From my perspective, he doesn't really fit personality wise into any of them. I almost want to place him as the obviously gay and has the hots for Vax shop keeper, Gilmore. However, I can also see him as Taryon or even Pike.

Jide: He is Scanlan. Don't care if he's a gnome. Don't fight me on this.

Tobi: For sure he is the half elf rogue, Vax'ildan. Vax is stealthiest person of the group. Often disappearing into thin air. He has the biggest heart though.

Ethan: Grog is who comes to mind for Behz. A giant Goliath that is strong as shit, not the brightest but does his best, and his fiercely loyal to family and friends.

Harry: He fits best into the role of Taryon. He could also be Tiberius, but Taryon fits better.

Now, for the sake of this next part, I'm gonna assign everyone so it'll fit.

Vik: Percy
Simon: Vex
Josh: Pike
Jide: Scanlan
Tobi: Vax
Ethan: Grog
Harry: Trayon

Extra:
Calfreezy: Gilmore (flamboyant shopkeeper)
Sarah: Zahra (incredibly powerful warlock that helps Vox Machina out)
Callux: Jarret (captain of the guard of Vox Machina's keep)

No one is Keyleth, sad times.

Ships

Percy and Vex are the best couple to come out of Critical Role, so I'm not changing that. That means Ministar in this case.

Now one of the ships that never really came to fruition (sad times) was Gilmore and Vax. It was awesome, so in this AU thing, it's real. Which means Tobi and Freezy.

There isn't much too this, mostly cause I can't write back story cause it's all on critical role. Maybe in the future I'll make more.
