I had a feeling that Brian was put with some friends last night, or that he just had a early one and went to bed. Called it a night at around seven, like he sometimes does.
But when I called him, and he finally picked up, I could hear his tone sounding relaxed, like he has a deep easing feeling in his heart.

Something happened last night. Something good.

Obviously my interests in the whereabouts of Brian Craigen last night grew way bigger when he opened the door of his condominium with the entrance sentence, "do I have a story for you Mr. Mendes."

-

I walked in to his house, hearing him closing the door behind me and he pushed me over to the couch. "What's up?" He smiled at me with an overexcited smile. Pure joy showing in his eyes, and that expresses the joy in his heart.

"Oh my god!" My eyes grew big. "You slept with Tahnée Summers." His eyes didn't grew big, showing that it's the truth, or I'm not that far from it. "You animal." I bumped his side. Just then his eyes grew big, "Wait. How do you mwan that like in what way?"
"What? When I said you're an animal?"
"No no no. That I slept with her?"

I wiggled my eyebrows up and down at him. "You know..." "Oh god! No Shawn, not like that." He said in all defense. "Then how did you- sleep? Wait... did you just sleep over?"

He nodded, but also scooted closer, indicating that there's much more to the story than just a little sleepover.
He started telling me about how wonderful it started, he just went over to pick her up from the flower shop where she was working yesterday.

Then, they watched some movies because apparently Tahnée was feeling down, but scary movies wasn't her scene.
"I told her that if she doesn't want to watch the movie, that's okay. But she insisted, saying that she wanted to see for so long but just never got the courage or someone to watch it with."

"After we watched the movie, I guess I fell asleep on her couch because when I woke up she was busy cooking. Making us dinner."
"Wait, she cooked you dinner?" I interrupted his story.
"I know right!" "Gosh Brian, you need to marry her." He smirked a bit, "Working on it." He stated before going on with his story.

"After dinner I told her that I should probably head home but she asked me to stay. To stay the night with her. She was scared and I could see it. We made a bed for me in the living room and she laid with me for a while. We just talked and had the best of time but then she went to bed."

I could sense that this is where the juicy part starts. Where I solve the mystery of how he slept with her but didn't sleep with her. You know what I'm saying?
He told me about her coming to him in the early morning hours ans asking if she can stay there. Basically it all came down to them actually, cuddling.

I was surprised by his calmness about it and that he said he understands they are only friends. Even if that's all they'll ever be. He's okay with that.

That's good, because I don't want him to get his hopes up when she has a boyfriend. "It's good that you know you're friends. I don't want you to get hurt."
"I know Shawn. She has a boyfriend, she told me."
"He's a douch right."
"Yeah." He sighed.

Brian, when he meets someone new or has someone he really cares about, they grow on him fast. It's a bad thing, sometimes. Because people can see that he cares a whole lot about them, and they misuse him for it. That breaks him, that's why he is so clingy on us. He doesn't want to lose us because then he'll fear that he has nobody.
Nothing.

And I can see he cares for Tahnée because the situation of her boyfriend being a total dick is bothering him to the max. It's just his good heart that make ahim more confused about what to do, he wants to help her, but he hasn't yet figured out how to do that.
I know she'll never break him... right?

"Just be there for her. Make her forget him."
"I'll try my best." He smiled faintly at me.
It was a quick decision to visit him, but I'm glad I did. I got to see a whole new side of him because it's been so long since he felt this way about a girl, or just, anyone.

Shawn actually stayed the weekend further on. We played video games and watched movies till our eyes started to hurt.
Let's just say that we didn't get a lot of sleep in.

"Brian. Do you want to go out for breakfast?"
Sunday morning. He just rolled out of bed and I'm still stuck under the covers. Not wanting to move. "I guess we could." "Well then get up." He threw me with a pillow and I jumped up, glaring over to him.

"Just know that if your coffee tastes funny this morning..." he looked at me with big eye, but then shook his head, saying I won't do it. "Just know why it tastes funny." I glared as I walked out of the room towards the kitchen.

-

We sat at the cafe down the street from the mall near my house. A far way from Shawn's place but that's okay. He claims he enjoys the ride home, giving him the time to listen to some good music and actually get to sing a few songs through before arriving at his condominium building.

"Ham and cheese toast with tea please." I handed my menu over to the waiter and Shawn looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed together. "Why such a boring sandwich?" "Craving some cheese?" I said more like a question before shrugging it off and we went on with our conversation from before.

It's good to have a friend like him. And I'm happy that I have him as a friend, having the honor to call him my best friend. We've been through everything together, and I'll always be him number one supporter.
Always.
