"Do you really think that you could get away from me that easily? I mean common Tahnée, I'm a part of you. I'm a memory you just can't erase." I closed my eyes as a tear rolled down my cheek. His cold finger caressed down my neck, down my arm. Every touch making me cry even more.
"You know, you never told me you loved me, and I knew you never would. But he doesn't love you the same way I do."
"You're right." I said through gritted teeth, tasting the blood from my lip as I licked over them. "He does it better." As the words roll over my lips I saw the anger in him just reaching a peak. He gripped on to the armrests of the chair, pinning me down as he pushed his face in to mine.
"Nobody can love you like I do!" He yelled. In his eyes I saw the dark look, so familiar, burning in to my soul. He smiled a devilish smile as he scanned my body from head to toe. "Does this feel familiar?" He chuckled deeply, gripping on to my waist with power before moving his other hand to do the same to my breast. I squirmed around in the seat, trying to get his hands off me but it was impossible. With every move I made he just gripped on harder. I could already feel the bruises forming. "Yeah does this feel familiar?" I said before kicking him right between the legs. My shin coming directly in contact with his so called 'manly hood'.
My hands were free but just as I wanted to get up he pulled me back down.

It's was 2:46 am when I heard crying and squirming from Tahnée's side of the bed. I turned around just after having her foot imprinted in my back. "Hey!" I said, shaking her to get her out of the trance she's in.
"Tahnée, wake up! It's just a bad dream." I said gripping on to her hands. I pinned her down to the bed as I straddled over her body.
She was crying, full on crying as she fought for life. She took deep breaths before opening her eyes. Red and puffy."What was that all about?" She didn't say anything. She just laid there, staring up at the ceiling. I thought having her here, with me, would make things better for her knowing that's she's not alone.
But I guess nightmares and bad memories follow you no matter where you go."Are you okay?" She nodded, tears still gliding down the side of her face. I intertwined my figers with hers, feeling how she did the same. Her hands were shaking, rapidly. "I just need a second." She said, sounding confused about the dream she just had. I let go of her and she rolled out of bed as I got off her. I watched her every move though, not taking my eyes off her.
She disappeared in to the bathroom, so I gave her the time she asked for. When the minutes got too much I walked in, seeing her resting over the sink as she tapped her fingers on the granite around the sink.
"Hey." I said softly, leaning against the doorframe. She looked up, her eyes meeting mine in the mirror and she stood up straight. I don't know what to say, nor what to ask. Especially if I don't know what exactly happened back there.
I walked closer to her, wrapping my arms around her waist and rested my chin on her shoulder. "Bad dream?" She nodded. "Wanna talk about it?" She shook her head. "It was unusual. But it scared me." She said faintly, placing her hands over mine as she leaned in to my embrace.
"I can give you a few more seconds if you wish." I saw the small smile playing in the corners of her lips before she nodded. "Thank you." She mouthed. Her eyes looked tired and she looked... bad.
I don't like saying that about Tahnée because no matter the situation she was always the radiant one, the uplifted one who never seems to frown. I hate that Daniel keeps haunting her present when she left him for the past. But I guess I'd too run after her if I ever loose her. But also, I won't ever do the things that he did to her, I'm not him nor do I ever want to be, nor will I ever be.
I walked back in to the room and lied back down, leaving the light on for when she comes back. I can't sleep now, and I don't think she would either. I heard the door opening again and she came walking out, looking a bit better. "Sorry." "You don't have anything to apologize for." I said as she turned the bathroom light out.
I thought she'd get in on her side but instead she came walking straight to me, raising the covers and getting in. "Okay?"
She chuckled, warming my heart as she plonked down ontop of me, wrapping her arms around me.I smiled as I pulled the covers over the both of us, wrapping my arms around her as I drew circles on her back. "You know when I had a nightmare my mom would always stay up with me. We'd watch cartoons or just talk until time seems to feel like it stopped. She never asked me what I dreamed about, saying it's 'just a dream', but she always made me feel better." I kissed the top of her head. "So what do you want to do?" "What do you mean?" She looked up at me, smiling faintly. Tears were still in her eyes but I seem to succeed in getting her mind off the dream. "Do you want to watch cartoons, play a game or just talk?" She sat up, stradling me.
Both my hands were on her thighs as she sat up, looking so beautiful in her time of weakness. She never seems to amaze me but I don't delve in to it, knowing it'll only make things worse in these moments. "You look so hot in that shirt." I blurted out laughing, seeing how she couldn't contain her laughter any longer. "Seriously?" She continued laughing. "And I can go on and on about how every curl falls perfectly down your shoulders and your freckles never looked more beautiful in the dimmed, ugly yellow light of this room." I laughed as I continued to compliment her. "Okay okay we can play a game. But I choose." She said, smiling down to me.
I'm always happy when I see her smiling.
"Deal." I kissed the top of her hand before she got off me, dragging her fingers down my chest and stomach to only send shivers down my spine. "If you continue to tease me like that I'll leave you with no other choice but hide and seek or strip poker." I said as we walked to the living room. "Never played that before." "What? Strip poker?" "No, hide and seek." She rolled her eyes all sarcastically. "Ha-ha." I applaud her.
"But seriously though, do you wanna?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows up and down at her. She bumped my shoulder as she sat down beside me.There was a small moment of silence until she smiled. "I'll count to fifty and you find a place to hide." "What! Only fifty seconds!" "One—" "Fuck!" I started scattering around the apartment in search for a place to hide.
Finally scraped the courage together and hid in the closet, so not the most obvious place to come look. I heard her yelling a loud "Fifty!" And her footsteps immediately lined up to the bedroom.
