//tahnée//
He survived. Even though he may think love will never cross his path ever again. He doesn't see that he was saved for something great, something beyond love, a bigger something than just a love.
He will be falling in to a heart, into the arms of someone he can't go a day or night without thinking of. He'll be so in love that it'll ruin him, in a good way. A pleasurable way that can't be described, that can't be fathomed by anyone and no mind will be able to comprehend what it really feels like, what it really means. That scar doesn't define him, his past doesn't define him. For I love him, and I appreciate him with all his flaws as he does mine.
True love, he'll find it.-
We greeted him mum before we walked out ot his car. It's time to head home, but Brian insisted on me staying at his house for the night. Some part of me is excited and the other is a bit... I don't know, down the line from excitement. "Are you okay with this?" "Yeah I mean, I don't know. It's the first time I went over to your house so might just as well give it a shot."
He looked worried too, but all I think about is him."I'm sorry but the scar still bothers me." He chuckled, looking over to me. "Don't let it bother you."
"But it's such a small scar yet it attracts so many. It keeps so many things locked inside you."It's crazy to think that one stab wound cut him so deep, just missed his right lung and just missing his spinal cord. He survived.
"Did it hurt?"
"Like hell." He laughed, "Sorry that was a stupid question." He laughed along with me. "Actually, in the time nothing hurt. It was when I woke up when things started hurting and my body told me that things were wrong. In that moment where I was on the floor and they starting kicking me, beating me up... I didn't feel any pain." I just placed my hand own on his thigh, not knowing what to say."It's funny actually, all the things that goes through your mind at that moment. You realize all you have and what you should be thankful for. And that night, if Shawn didn't come to look for me I don't know what would've happened to me."
"Was everything internally okay though? After the kicking and things?"
"You seem to have a lot of questions Tahnée."
"I'm sorry. I just, I want to understand why someone will do such a thing!"
"I don't think we'll ever truly understand why people do some things. But yeah, apart from having a bone marrow transplantation in my thoracic vertebrae I was okay."
"Wait what! A bone marrow transplant?"We eventually stopped at his place but I wasn't even yet paying attention to it, I just wanted to know the rest of the story.
"Because of the knife, when it was stabbed in to my back, it may have missed the spinal cord but the cut got infected in the first week and that infected my bone marrow so I had to get a transplant."
"Who was the donor?"
"Shawn."-

I knew this story will create a lot of questions with her but I feel good telling her, like I can trust her. I can tell her things.
She gasped loudly when I mentioned that Shawn was my donor.
"He was your match? How crazy is that? Your best friend not only your friend but like, your life saver."
"Yeah, I was lucky to have him be a match and he did do good for me."
"Imagine Micheal matching to something I need." She thought for a moment before laughing and shaking her head. "Nah, he'd be too greedy. He'd let me die."
"I doubt that."
"No trust me. One day we tried to go ice skating. I slipped and some dude skated over my finger and I seriously needed like, two stitches. Instead of taking me to the ER he just handed me a bandaid."I opened the door of my apartment, holding it open for her to walk in. She turned the light on and gasped as it illuminated the room. "Wow. My apartment looks like a total wreck in comparison with yours."
"No. I'm just a bit more neat."
She pushed me away as I stood next to her."Are you tired?" I whispered to her after showing her around the house. She stood beside me and rested her head on my shoulder. "Is that even a question?" "Common then." We walked to my room and I handed her a shirt. She was still wearing my sweatpants and hoodie that I gave to her back at my moms house, but I think a shirt would be much better and more comfortable to sleep in. "Thank you."
She just told me to turn around so that she could get dressed, but the laugh in the middle of it all gave away that she's simply not getting anywhere."Are you joking me right now?" She laughed. "Brian." She stretched out my name, making me turn around to see her arms in the air and the back of the hoodie being stuck around her head. I laughed at her instead of staying in silence. If I didn't make a sound she'll know that I was looking at her. "Hold on." I chuckled, but my eyes were only on her body.
"Thank you." She quickly pulled the shirt over her head, but wasn't at all ashamed of what just happened. Like when we went swimming, nothing strange for her, and she really trusts me.
"I'll take the couch you can-"
"No. Get in Craigen." She demanded.
"Tahnée I don't want to bother."
"Brian, this is your bed. By all means I'm the one who should be taking the couch."
"Over my dead body."
"Yeah and over my dead body will I let you sleep on the couch. Get in."Feisty.
I went to the bathroom to quickly get dressed in my nightwear before walking out again. This time, the sweatpants she was wearing were on the floor, and she's already in under the covers. Why does she have to be so perfect?
"Next week Friday."
"What about it?"
"What are your plans?"
"I don't think I have any yet, why?"
"I want you to come with me to a party. It's uhm... it's at a club and I don't-"
"I understand." She scooted closer to me. "I'd love to come with you." She pecked my cheek before saying goodnight.I find her attraction and care really special. She's not like anyone I've ever known before.
I turned the light out and wrapped me arm around her shoulders after she rested her head on my chest. Out of normal circumstances, this would've been really weird for me. But Tahnée just has that way of making every single thing I do, every single thing we do together, feel like it's normal. Although my love and affection for her grows deeper and deeper every single day, I can't hardly begin to describe how she makes me feel. Nor how I feel about her.
"Tahnée," I whispered, hearing her humming in reply. "That night of the Formal, when I handed you the Victoria Secrets shirt. Why did you frown?"
"Just a bad memory."
"Like?"
"It was a beauty pageant and I won second princess. It was actually a deep shocker back then because I looked like a little goblin. But anyway, I met a girl named Tiffany Hamilton back then, she won Queen. After, when I went to congratulate her she pointed out everything wrong with me. She told me I was fat, and I'm not gonna lie but I was a bit out of shape. But worst of all is that she said I'll never get anywhere in life. So I changed my lifestyle and how I looked."
"So the shirt is more of a bad memory of who you were back then."
"Basically, yeah." She sighed.I drew small circles on her back, taking in her story. "Just so you know Tahnée, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life." I whispered. The darkness of the room and the feeling in my heart made the moment even more memorable.
The silence.
Nothing else is heard but the words I spoke."You're an amazing person Brian." She whispered back.
