You and your best friend were breaking into the Murder House, which had been marked to be torn down.

You needed information for a project and for that, you needed pictures. For some reason, there were none posted anywhere about the interior of the house.

You watched Y/BFF/N shiver as you entered the main room.

“Are you going to be alright?” you asked.

He/She nodded.

“Not gonna wuss out on me, are you?” you teased.

Y/BFF/N rolled her/his eyes.

“You’re my ride home,” he/she responded.

“Oh, so you would leave me if I wasn’t?” you asked, acting offended.

“Hey, I see a ghost, forget being my ride, I’m running home,” she/he told you.

“Oh, that’s so considerate. Thank you,” You said.

“But if we do see a ghost-,” he/she began.

“You have my permission to run,” you interrupted.

“You’re the best,” they smiled.

You rolled your eyes and pulled out your camera.

“Let’s just get this done,” you sighed.

You guys began to take pictures.

“Is it wrong to say that dead boy was hot?” Y/BFF/N asked, “The one who shot all those school kids.”

You looked over to see her/him taking a picture of the chandelier.

“Nah, you’re just basing it on looks. Not like you knew him personally. Besides, he kinda was,” you chuckled.

He/she laughed as you took a picture of the staircase.

“We are some messed up people,” she/he said.

“Eh, it helps us do crazy things like this,” You shrugged.

“We have to be nuts to do something stupid like this,” they agreed.

You gasped as you looked up the stairs.

Your friend looked at where you were staring.

At the top of the stairs, was the dead boy, Tate Langdon.

Y/BFF/N, as he/she said, tried to run. The door slammed shut and wouldn’t open.

Tate was suddenly behind her/him. You stepped in between the two.

“Let us go,” you said.

You hid your fear, so your voice was strong and steady.

“So you think I’m hot?” he smirked.

You gave him a questioning glance.

“Are you going to let us go or not? I don’t like to play games with the dead,” you told him.

“Tell you what, I’ll make you a deal,” he offered.

You looked over at Y/BFF/N, who was pale and crying silently.

You looked back at Tate.

“What do you want?” you questioned.

“You both can go. On one condition,” he answered.

“What’s the condition?” you asked.

“One of you moves back in here to keep the building from being demolished,” he finished.

You sighed, knowing you would be the one to move here.

“Fine. Deal,” You grimaced.

“I can’t move in here!” Y/BFF/N shrieked.

“That’s why you’re not. I am,” You stated, clenching your jaw.

Tate smiled and Y/BFF/N’s eyes widened.

The door opened and you both went to exit.

Tate pulled you back, pressing his cold lips to yours. He held your head from moving as he kissed you harshly.

He finally let you go so you could leave after a few seconds.

You made a show of wiping your mouth, even though you liked it.

You and your friend walked down the path to leave.

“See you when forever starts!” Tate called behind you as the door slammed shut.

You couldn’t wait.
