𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀'𝐒 eyes gazed over the black lace mask that was hung by the string ribbon over a single silver hanger; hooked at the front of her wardrobe ⏤ the mask resting over the black dress she had managed to locate in one of her boxes. It was fairly simple yet detailed at the same time, the intricate lace detail contrasting from the simplicity of the black colour which covered the dress completely.

In truth when it came to these social events ⏤ that she scarcely attended ⏤ Olivia attempted to keep the lowest profile she possibly could, not wanting to be the centre of attention and so black was always a safe colour and a guarantee to go by unnoticed. Hence why she'd chosen the dress she did as whilst it was beautiful it wasn't too extravagant unlike some of the dresses Caroline had pointed out to her today.

The pair had spent a decent amount of time in the town centre in which Caroline had browsed through various small retail stores whilst Olivia followed reluctantly behind ⏤ forcing a smile and nodding half-heartedly at every possibility Caroline pulled out in hopes she'd agree and they could leave already. Eventually, the vampire managed to choose one to her liking, and after stopping by Mystic Grill, they soon parted ways and Olivia made her way back home.

After getting dressed, Olivia sighed as she gazed over her appearance, still regretful for what she'd agreed to go to tonight, considering she had no idea what she was walking into. Nonetheless, after several moments, she got into her car and began driving to the Lockwood Residence where the Masquerade Ball was being held.

Getting out of her car, Olivia was unable to prevent herself from gazing wearily at her surroundings. She immediately took notice of tons of people in formal wear making there way towards the entrance or socialising across the grass; the hum of music growing louder with every step she took. Eventually, she spotted Tyler at the top of the steps outside the main building and so began heading up to him, seeing it was better to attach herself to him for the rest of the night then be approached by random strangers she had no intention of otherwise talking to.

As she walked, however, she was oblivious to Damon and Stefan who were also at the top of the steps despite both currently being positioned on the opposite side; their eyes roaming the area for Katherine. Soon enough Damon's eyes landed on Olivia and for a moment he kept his gazed fixed on the girl, smiling to himself briefly. He was unable to comprehend how someone could be that beautiful and couldn't help but admire her, completely disregarding the importance of the situation at hand in the process.

His eyes followed her as she approached Tyler Lockwood, casually listening in to the words they exchanged.

"Liv, you look ⏤" Tyler began, only for Liv to interrupt quickly.

"Tired? Annoyed? Pissed off with the world?" She finished with a playful smile.

"You look great." He told her in return with a smile to which she rolled her eyes. "Can you at least pretend like you're having a good time?" He then asked her with a subtle laugh.
