"𝐇𝐄𝐘, so I was wondering if you had any plans tonight?" Another random guy asked as the corridors of the high school began filling up again. She had suffered through several more classes in which her boredom and exhaustion only grew. Finally, their lunch break began ⏤ her one shot of escape; though not with Stefan constantly observing her movements and ensuring she didn't leave the school grounds.

"Why?" She asked the student in vague confusion.

"Well, there's the decade dance tonight and ⏤" he began, allowing the tribrid to finally grasp what he was implying and intending to ask her prompting her to cut him off immediately.

"Yeah, no." She returned blandly before turning and proceeding to walk down the corridors, intending to locate the nearest exit when her path was blocked by a familiar blonde wearing an expression that vibrated signs of agitation and annoyance.

"Why the hell did you do that?" She asked almost instantaneously, looking at the girl with an incredulous expression that added to Olivia's abrupt disorientation.

"Do what...?" Olivia's brows drew together at her words.

"That guy just asked you out to the decade dance tonight and you rejected him!" Caroline exclaimed in disbelief, not knowing where Olivia's head was at half of the time.

"So...?"

"So, he's really cute." She returned.

Olivia's confusion diminished quickly soon followed by her directing a tired eye roll at the vampire. "Yeah, well, I'm not going tonight anyway." She replied nonchalantly

"What? Why?" She questioned with vaguely widened eyes.

"These social events aren't really my thing and since Tyler isn't here to blackmail me into going... I think I'm just going to pass." She said, shrugging her shoulders.

"But ⏤"

"Bye Caroline," she then said, leaving the blonde before she could utter another word. "Matt." The tribrid proceeded to nod as she passed the boy who was presumably heading over to his girlfriend.

Olivia then continued down the crowded halls towards the cafeteria, reluctantly entering the crowded room and glancing around the area in distaste, attempting to locate something to occupy her time with and relieve her of the slightest boredom. As she did, her eyes met with Elena's who appeared to be approaching her
