Chapter 27

-Cindy's POV-

I huffed as we had been walking for a while. The pain from my wounds had disappeared, which was great but I also now just felt nothing at all. I listened to Sabre and Hypno and Alex, who was still acting weird, talking. At some point Alex took the lead and... I kept being quiet while walking. Alex was confident and kept acting so weird... She made me worry an made me want to talk to Sabre and Hypno alone. "Hypno... Hypno Steve... Cindy..." I heard Sabre whisper, causing all three of us turning around to him. "Oh uh Alex... I uh... I just saw something interesting for Hypno and Cindy. So uh.. Alex can you go scout the area out? Would be veeery nice of you!" He nervously chuckled and Alex just nodded and walked off... 

"Okay you two... Something is very wrong with Alex. Imma be real with you, Chief... Something is wrong with Alex, she's been acting weird since she came back together with us and you did tell us That you got attacked by something and that it snatched Alex, Cindy... So what do we do? She's been acting very suspicious... " Yeah. Sabre you're right... What do we do tho...? "I've noticed that too Sabre... But I have just been rolling with it because she clearly is trying to get us to do something... And whatever took her must've maybe... In some way brainwashed her or maybe that even isn't the real Alex..." Hypno sighed and looked at us. "Yeah I noticed too Sabre... Even tho I don't know Alex that long yet... She is acting very weird... But if we go against what she wants then she will get suspicious that we are catching on! We gotta play along boys..." I looked at them and Sabre... He didn't feel comfortable with just... Rolling with it. He thinks that maybe it will be bad... But if we don't play along... Maybe we will make it worse! I sighed and looked up at the sky before running back to Alex with the boys. 

"Sorry Alex! I thought I saw a cool... Uhm... Uh... I thought I saw a cool... Uhm Uh..." Sabre come up with something... "Iiiiiit doesn't matter." Alex just kept walking again and we followed. "Alex... We have been walking for a while so uh... You sure we will find something...?" I Ran up to Alex and walked next to her. "Maybe we should head back to the thing and wait?" Sabre chuckled and I secretly gave him a thumbs up... But nope. She didn't listen. Just said we will EVENTUALLY Find something... "Let's just... Vote again." I jumped down the mountain, taking some damage, but not minding much... "I'm down for it." "Voting again sounds great" Yeah agree with me boiiiisssss!

Alex sighed and voted first. She voted for continue. Sabre and Me voted for going back... But Hypno wanted to keep going... In the end I gave in and changed my vote to keep going. But... At some point Sabre just... Let it out. He told Alex he knew something wasn't right, He told her that he will go back... She kept saying no... Said... "Stay here a moment." Something was off... Something was gonna happen, right...? Sabre would only stay when Alex told him what was happening... She... Couldn't. "Sabre... Please. Let's just-" I wanted to tell him to keep going... I heard how Alex's Voice changed... It sounded... Desperate... And a little scared. "No! I was gonna go with you two just because you wanted to know what was going on!" Sabre growled at us... He was a bit angry...

I looked at Alex who told him to stay and come with us... Sabre just kept saying no... And that he knew it was her... Why won't she just tell us...? I gently placed a hand on her shoulder and looked at her... Her stance already showed me that... She must be scared... "Alex... Just tell us please..." I whined.. but she just backed off telling us to keep walking that way... We, Hypno and me, then noticed something... She wanted us to follow her and we didn't sense any... Melentend or whatever Hypno called it... She was in full control... And I already knew she was... Scared. Very scared... "Alex I know you are scared. I already saw it and heard it from your voice... Tell us what is wrong..." I looked at Alex, as I was very concerned...

Sabre went next to me and looked at me "What do you mean you know she is scared?! Alex you... You know you can tell us... we are your friends..." Sabre whined and looked at her and also had leaned against me for a moment... Alex just... Panicked more and told us again we should just keep walking... Whatever happened... It made Alex want to go only one way... And also made her very scared... Sabre eventually dragged us all over to a mountain and we started whispering... Alex just told us to keep moving... Sabre in the end... Asked what happened if we would turn around... Alex told him that he didn't want to do that. I glared at Sabre as he walked back and Alex was near her tears... "Alex. Cindy. You two go ahead.", Hypno looked at us and I nodded and we kept walking... I gently hugged her and rubbed her back... She started crying... And I suddenly heard Hypno in my head. "I'm talking in your Guys head. Alex seems to act like she is held hostage... We need to just keep following her... And keep rolling with it..." I nodded a bit to myself and let Go of Alex as Hypno and Sabre came to us. I whipped some tears off her face and gave her a gentle smile... She smiled back and we in the end... Kept walking... I gave Hypno and Sabre a worried frown... They knew right away... She isn't fine.
