Keith Kogane x reader

Phase 1 complete

Lance's POV

I walked to the healing pod's desperate to see off my sister was alright. As I entered I saw Y/N and Keith. I felt my blood boil slightly at the sight of them together but pushed the feeling down and replaced it with joy to see my baby sister.
"Y/N!"
I sprinted towards her and engulfed her in a hug
"Lance?"
She was shocked but returned the hug anyway.
"I'm so sorry that we fought please forgive me!"
"Of course"
We broke apart and smiled warmly at each other.
"I missed you, sis," I said
"I missed you too" She replied
"You should go to bed it's late," I told her
"Okay I am tired" She replied
I followed Keith and Y/N. I glared as they held hands and walked to her room.
"Goodnight" I sweetly said
"Goodnight" She replied
I shut the door and glared
"Dumb Keith thinks he can steal my sister from me" I grumbled
I walked away to my room. 

Y/N POV

I love you"  I whispered to Keith
"I love you too" Keith replied
He wrapped his am around my waist and we lay down. I felt sleep envelop me and my eyes closed hoping to have a dreamless sleep.

Keith's POV

I felt Y/N relax in my arms. She was asleep.  I stealthily climbed out of her bed and headed to the training room.
"You couldn't save her"
"She got hurt because of you"
The doubts ate at my mind as the drone of gladiators collided with metal.
"This is your fault" 
*Time skip*
I felt sleep tug at my eyelids but I forced my eyes open. I fought the next course of gladiators with extreme force.
"I'm doing this for Y/N" I whispered
Suddenly black spots clouded my vision and I felt myself swaying.

Shiro's POV

I was woken up to the sound of metal against metal.
"Again?"
I ran to the training room to see Keith.
"Keith?"
He didn't hear me. I saw as he swayed and collapsed onto the training room floor.
I ran towards him and shook him slightly.  In a matter of minutes, he woke up. 

Author's POV

"What Shiro"
Keith looked up at Shiro on the training room floor.  
"You passed out" Shiro replied
"Let's get you to Y/N's room"
"No don't!"
Shiro was shocked by his outburst and turned towards him.
"Why would I no?"
"Because I don't want her to get hurt again because I couldn't save her!" 
"But training yourself into exhaustion is going to get you hurt"
"I just don't want her to worry"
"But-"
"Please?"
"I don't like it but ok"
"Thanks"
Shiro faced the black-haired teen and sighed.
"You really do love her don't you?"
Keith's face reddened slightly.
"Well yeah a lot"
"Come on let's go"
"Shiro helped Keith up and le him to Y/N's room.
"Just don't do anything stupid," Shiro said
"I won't Shiro replied"
As Shiro left Keith let out a sigh of relief and opened the door waiting for Shiro to retreat to his room. Once the coast was clear he headed back to the training room.
"Sorry Shiro but this is for Y/N," I thought

Y/N POV  

I woke up in a cold sweat from another frightening dream.
"Keith?"
He was nowhere to be seen. I was confused but got ready for the day all the same.

*Time skip*

I walked into the kitchen and viewed the paladins.
"Hey guys," I said
The normal chatter was replaced with silence
"Y/N!" Pidge yelled
They raced towards me and swallowed me in a group hug
"I missed you to" I chuckled
As they let me go they informed me of everything that had happened in the past couple of days.     
"Also your boyfriends gone crazy" Pidge nonchalantly remarked
"What?! But when I came out of the pod he was totally normal"
"Mullet is more emo without you, and I'm pretty sure he spends most of his time in the training room" 
"Hey guys"
I turned my head to see Keith walking into the kitchen. He sat down next to me.
"Anybody ready?" He asked    
"Don't you wanna eat first?" Shiro asked 
"Not hungry" He replied
He then sprinted out of the room dagger in his hand
"How long has this been going on for?"
"Four days" They replied in unison
"Your joking right?!"
Disbelief clouded my voice 
"He didn't want you to know,"  Shiro said
"Why?"
Shiro hesitated and said nothing.
"Shiro if you don't tell me I will set your hair on fire"
"You wouldn't!"
"Ya wanna bet?"
He sighed before motioning me to the hallway
"Why didn't he want me to know?"
At this point, you were confused and annoyed
"He passed out whilst he was training. Early in the morning" 
"What?!"
"You should go speak to him"
Without another word, I sprinted to the training deck. There I saw Keith. 
Training course stop" It powered down and Keith turned towards me
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Tell you what?"
"You passed out during training and you've barely eaten!"
"Who told you?"
"Shiro"
"That snitch"
"Keith why?" 
"Y/N I'm fine they're overexaggerating!"
"Keith tell me the truth!"
"No, I'm fine!"

Keith's POV

"No, I'm fine!" I snapped
Suddenly my vision was clouded by black spots and I felt the world spinning.
"Keith?"" Y/N yelled   
I snapped out of it and shook myself. Y/N was now holding me.
"Ok let's get you to bed"
"What no!"
I stood up and stubbornly stood in front of her.
"Why not!"
"There's nothing wrong Y/N!"
Then she snapped. A jolt of electricity filled my body. Darkness filled my vision as I lost consciousness

*Time skip*         

I sat up with a tingling sensation throughout my whole body. Y/N was looking at me from her place next to me on her bed.
"Now are you ready to tell me?"
I sighed before speaking
"Because It's my fault you got hurt"
"Keith, how is it your fault?"
"If I was just a little faster and stronger I could have saved you" I replied

Y/N's POV

I looked into Keith's eyes. The violet orbs clouded with exhaustion and slight guilt.
"Keith if you weren't there to have carried me out I would have to be done for!"
He was silent
"Now if you say it's your fault I will harvest your toes and fill your ears with lice" 
He looked at me in mock horror
"You wouldn't"
"I would"
We burst out laughing. The next couple of hours were filled with terrible jokes and laughter. We continued till sleep tugged at our eyelids forcing us to stay awake.
"Y'know Y/N I think what you said was right," Keith remarked
He was cuddling next to me which made me feel warm and safe
"Keith  I'm always right" 

Haggard POV

"Phase one is complete would you like us to move to phase 2" 
"Yes in the next day or so" I replied
Phase one is complete now for phase 2
