Chapter 11 - Game on

Alek POV

"What's wrong Royal?" Gabriella smirked

"You are awfully strong for a little girl" I grunted as I shook my hand, she tried to cross punch me when I held her waist to stop the movement.

"Do. Not. Call. Me. Little. Girl." She fumed, she turned in my hand, bringing herself closer to me, our breaths mingled and my grey eyes to her eyes and vice versa staring. It felt like she was hiding her true self

"2 minutes more!" W's voice broke our stare, she stepped back but grabbed my hand bringing me forward and my eyes widened for I wasn't expecting this at all especially not from a woman.

"Wait a second did she do the shoulder roll to Alek?!" Damon yelled

It involves using the lead shoulder to deflect the cross and overhand, and the forearm to protect the body. Once the punch is deflected, it then leaves you in an excellent position to throw a short counter uppercut/cross.

And she did throw an uppercut with less power, because no blood is to be spilled.

The shoulder roll requires good reflexes, timing and body positioning. Even the slightest error of judgement can lead to getting hit flush, since your lead arm is held low.

Not many women let alone men can pull it off successfully often due to its style and technique and if you try it without a great amount of practice then it becomes a bloody mess and it harms you more than your opponent.

This was the signature move of Xavier, this move was basically a myth and no one could pull this off, not in the arena or practice since it was basically impossible. But this girl defies all.

And she brings back memories.

She bend down and took my gem and leaned forward, "love to stay back but duty calls" she whispered in my ear and ran.

Everyone was perplexed by her movement, I got up as the big alarm went off releasing everyone from their traps.

"Game over" Zane muttered, his sugar rush wearing off as he rubbed the sides of his head

"We need to do something, we are wasting too much time" Ethan spoke stepping with us as the groups formed and started walking.

"I think I have something" I mumbled as we saw the crowd going wild as the boys lifted Gabriella up.

"I can't believe you guys lost and to a girl too" Sia snickered as I walked out from the shower

"Don't you guys have rooms?" I raised my eyebrows at them, Zane was the only one with a concentrated look on his face

"What is he watching?" I asked Ethan who was opening his laptop, I sat on the chair beside him

"Something about asking a girl out" he shrugged

"Zane" he hummed, "what are you reading?"

"If someday I want to tour around the world, may I circle around you?" he read out, "yikes it's so cheesy why don't you just travel around the world with the girl instead? Hypocrite!" he stood up and glared at the phone

"You are reading pick-up lines?" I eyed Zane

"I need some help with Lexi" Blaze blunted out.

"Are you interested in a romantic relationship? Dude seriously that's a bit blunt and not classy enough for Zane Ivanov" we all rolled our eyes

"Why are you trying to get her?"

"Dude I love you and you are my man" Zane smirked as I groaned, "but Lexi punched Blaze and literally was going to win if she didn't get caught in that stupid trap"

"So you wanna be with the girl who punched you?" I stated as Blaze shrugged off and looked back at the phone.

"Lexi has a brother, it is that brunet named Bryan he is going to punch Blaze plus seeing how Gabriella punched you I bet that he would only last five minutes" Damon sat on the couch adjacent to me

"Pfft" Ethan waved, "I bet $10 that he will last for only 30 seconds"

"$15 Lexi is going to punch him" Ria smirked

"Do you have a boyfriend if not do you want one? If yes do you want a new one or do you want an extra one?" Zane spoke loudly gaining our attention back at him, "Disgusting piece of shit!"

He exasperated, pacing back and forth.

"$25" I said, "even if he does talk, Lexi will ignore him."

"The game is on" Sia just rolled her eyes at us.

"You were inside my heart when you were thin, once you gained weight you couldn't get out, that's basically weight discrimination!" Zane exasperated, "whoever made these doesn't understand what the fuck is a pick up line" 

"As if you do" I scoffed.

"I forwarded you the list of names that is supposed to be interviewed, go through them if you find any fault or if someone is not cut for the job just circle them and e-mail it back to me today I need to send them to Bethany, although she is my secretary I can't have her working overtime because of your laziness" Zane reminded me

"I never knew there was vacancies" I furrowed my eyebrows

"There is so check them now as you never know what's happening in Innovatech because you are only focused in the architecture side and always in that room and I am the one running around"

"For what department and whose needs them?"

"General Affairs Department and I need them" Blaze answered

"Alright" I grabbed my iPad

"Oh and while you are at it why don't you look for an assistant too in the next file I have sent?"

"No" I answered firmly

"Geez fine" he raised his hands, "your loss" he smirked
