Chapter 18

Nick's POV

"Ready to be impressed?" I asked Mia before I got up and headed towards the stage. I looked back at her before I headed up the few steps and I could tell that she was blushing a little. She caught me looking at her and smiled at me. I smiled back and made my way to center stage. She just had to sit directly in front of the stage didn't she? I thought to myself as I turned towards Eric. "I'm going to need a soundtrack."

Eric nodded his head and turned towards the radio that sat on a small table on the back of the stage. I turned around to face him. I held up eight fingers. I have been here enough times to know the order of the soundtracks.
Eric nodded his head again and motioned for me to introduce myself. I turned back around and moved so that I was in front of the microphone.

"Hello. My name is Nick and I will be singing Jealous by Nick Jonas. I'm singing this song for someone who would like to remain anonymous. She knows who she is, though."

I looked at Mia and I saw that she understood what I was saying because she had a mixture of embarrassment and happiness on her face. It made me smile knowing that I made her feel that way. I turned around and gave Eric the thumbs-up to start playing the soundtrack. As soon as it started, I got more into it and sang every note and every word perfectly like Nick Jonas did.

I took a deep breath when I finished and looked at the crowd. They were all on their feet, clapping and yelling. The one person that I had hoped would be thrilled was. Mia looked at me with a huge smile on her face and I returned it with one of my own. After bowing, I made my way back over to my seat only to be greeted with a hug from Mia. I hugged her back, smiling the whole time.
