Idhaya's POV

That lunch was the most awkward and shortest lunch of my life. I mean he didn't eat anything more because he got a business call to attend and he excused himself.

What's the use of waiting, when you are eating alone at the end? Next time I won't be waiting for this jerk... He got no time for eating! I also had a successful business for years but I never neglected my health and food for that.

That is why he is more successful.

That's my subconscious in its 'duh' tone.

And as painful it is to admit that my subconscious is correct, I still would do that. But then too, at least take your lunch with you. Talk and eat at the same time... I used to do that. I despise people who don't value food when we are solely working on food and for food.

"Maybe, I should give him his plate in his study? At least he will eat something. I am only doing this because he deserves a meal after what he did for me." I questioned myself and then reasoned myself by myself!

Making up my mind, I refilled his plate after re-heating his pasta and chicken salad. Made a mixed fruit juice for him for he needs nutrients. I poured the juice into a thermos so that he can drink it whenever he wants.

I took the tray in my hands and kept it again.

"Ohh... But won't it be too personal? I am making juice for him, he might say 'Ms. Idhaya, I hired you as my kid's nanny.' And I might again receive a good lecture. He might even call this a stupid move. He will say 'never do that again'... Why Idha you always make wrong moves!" I huffed and looked at the tray.

"But what he ate was next to nothing and maybe because he is hungry most of the time that's why he is angry. I should at least consider this as a good deed." I asserted and assured myself and took the tray again.

"Mr. Sullivan, do what you are hired for. Don't make my HR department type your resignation letter." I heard this as soon as I entered his study after knocking slightly. I so wanted to run back to the kitchen and dispose of the tray but my feet froze.

"Yes, Ms. Idhaya?" I looked at him as if he is a ghost from horror movies wearing those makeup and clothes.

"I... Actually, I... I came to take me... Clothes! Yes, clothes." I stuttered as my mind gave in.

"Clothes? With a tray and in my study? Does my study give you a feeling of a wardrobe?" I shook my head instantly.

"I meant... I have to bring my luggage here so I wanted to inform you. And this tray... You didn't eat your lunch so I thought anyway I wanted to talk to you... I made juice too as you don..."

"So you brought the tray up. You made juice because of 'any way you were about to talk to me'. Ms. Idhaya, I neither told you to do such things and nor do I appreciate it." He said in a monotonous tone and from that moment I knew... I was doing the correct thing by keeping the tray again in the kitchen.

"I thought you might be hun..."

"I am hungry then that's my problem! Do what you are said to do and paid for. My hunger is none of your concern." I just picked up a spoon full of pasta and tossed it in his mouth.

"When people are hungry they irritate others, so your hunger is my concern. For I don't like people as rude as you near me." I said and kept the tray on his table. After he finished the morsel he glared at me.

"I don't like your attitude." He looked at me with a sudden interest or maybe something even dangerous to explain. His eyes still held the power of a rude businessman but there was a dim lightness of something distinctive... Probably he might be thinking of pointing out the faults in my actions.

"Mutual decision then." I shrugged.

"I am your boss." He said.

"Trial boss." I reminded him.

"Ahh, yes. Ms. Idhaya, take the driver with you and bring your luggage here. But before that sign this one-month agreement. Be sure that after one month, you can quit but after finding a replacement. And please do all this before Enzo wakes up." I nodded and took the papers he forwarded. The whole time that I was reading the agreement, he didn't even touch his lunch. He was sitting on the other end of the table while his food is on the opposite end.

I shook my head as I can see even if I heat the food for him ten times a day he would still not have time to eat. But now that I did the hard work of heating, then he should have his lunch.

"Mr. Ivano, I think the agreement has one problem." I said while looking at the papers in my hands.

"What? But I checked it and signed it. I didn't find any error." He got up and came towards me to check the agreement.

"Hand the papers to me. Let me check it again." I shook my head and hid the papers behind me.

"Ms. Idhaya what are you doing? Hand me the papers at once!" I smiled at him.

"They got no problems. I was kidding." I said and signed the papers.

"Are you..."

"Now that you came here and gave me your precious time... Why not grace your already cold lunch? Because I am in no mood for heating it again as you will again be busy. So eat it as it is? Hmm?" I took the plate and kept it in his hands.

"Do not ever..."

"Order me? I didn't. I asked you very nicely remember." I smirked and kept the papers on the table.

"Hope you finish the tray while I come back with my luggage," I said and went out haughtily.
