Chapter 27

Emiliano's POV

"Don't you think he went in a bit heroic style?" Ivano asked as soon as Tan left.

"For once he is doing something without being lazy ass. Now you should go too. I will take care here until Tan comes." I told while already formulating the plan to vex Dr. Aida.

Rather exciting!

"Okay. Don't bother me as I already have one person who do not leave a chance." Ivano said while getting.

"Perchance... Idhaya?" I smirked at him.

"Do not annoy me Emi! She is already doing a fantastic job." He said and left leaving me chuckling at him.

"Interesting! Totally unexpected, but interesting." I smiled.

While waiting for bodyguards to come, I contacted officers to keep matters regarding Carmelia hidden from Tan's father.

"Hello, Mr. Esposito." I looked up to see Dr. Aida standing just above my head.

"Hello! Was about to call upon you." I said standing up suddenly. It might have caught her off-guard making her lean.

"Why?" She asked standing straight and looked at me.

"Maybe to ask what are you doing here early in the morning?" I asked.

"I have few patients who prefer early morning slots. And it gives me time to handle school so I don't deny them." She said while shrugging her shoulders.

"So, I hope you are done?" I asked.

"No. I have one more patient who will come in few minutes." She said.

"So that is why you decided to check on me." I asked while smirking. The statement shocked her while her cheeks turned pink.

"No. I came to enquire about... Um... Your."

"Ex-girlfriend." I completed her to which she nodded.

"Well you confused me. You now consider her as your sister." I nodded.

"How can your feelings change so drastically?" She asked while frowning.

"So are you doubting that I am not trustworthy?" I asked to the point as I don't like to talk in circles.

"To be honest, yes." She said making me smile.

"I like honesty the most!" I told suggestively as I gave her smile.

"Your flirting never led you anywhere Mr. Esposito." She sighed while shaking her head.

"I have to admit it's because the flirting with you was so exciting that I had to continue the treatment." I told as my eyes darkened looking at her cute blush.

"You continued the treatment because you needed it. And again you successfully diverted the topic." I laughed when she frowned in confusion.

"What was the topic again?" I asked.

"How your feelings for Ms. Carmelia changed?" She asked.

"Are you always this formal?" I asked.

"Are you always going to divert me from the topic? While treatment too I had my way, now too I will." She said eliciting a small smile from me.

"Okay. I was attracted to Carmelia when she came to our home. She liked me too that you obviously know. But it was attraction nothing more. As I said, what irritated me the most was my Ivano's lies. He never wanted me to know what transpired behind my back. We had amazing bond and suddenly, I felt betrayed. And gradually, there was no attraction." I looked at her after I conveyed the reasons.

"So, that means you can again get attracted to her." She said while thinking deeply.

"No. That time I was young and all we used to talk about was this girl's boobs, that girl's hip... But now I can only talk about business. Ivano has the same case, though he was always more serious. Tan is exception though... He still is a bit stupid and..." I looked at her to help me find proper words.

"Strong." I nodded at her.

"Okay. I will go now." She said while looking at the wrist watch. I nodded.

"Hope you will be free after half an hour. We can have breakfast together." She nodded.

"We can." Like a kid I smiled brightly at her making her laugh.

Idhaya's POV

I couldn't sleep after hearing about Carmelia's condition. Pacing around the living room while waiting for Ivano to come and convey the exact situation.

After around two hours he finally came looking fully exhausted making me regret waking him up so early to discuss something that could have been postponed to the next day.

"Enzo is still sleeping?" He asked as he sat on the couch.

"Yes, he is tired due to all the events yesterday. How is Carmelia?" I asked.

"Out of danger. Just got operated and will sleep for hours." He closed his eyes and relaxed himself on the couch.

"What happened to her?" I asked after bringing him a glass of water.

"It's a long story. Carmelia's mother and Tan's father have affair since years and have a son together elder than these two. Carmelia wanted to prove this to Tan so they went to jer mother's house. Where Tan's Dad came and he almost missed on killing her. Tan hastily got her admitted in the hospital." I looked at him in shock.

"What the hell is going on in their life? Seriously, parents like these even exist?" I muttered angrily.

"Just because you and I have good folks doesn't mean everyone will." He said and drank the water.

"What will Tan do now?" I enquired.

"He didn't reveal much. But I know he will make correct and informed decisions." I nodded.

"Did you ask if he needs any help?" I asked.

"No. What's there to ask? He is not some stranger... He knows perfectly well that we will help him." He said while massaging his forehead.

"Do you... I mean I can massage your forehead if it's..."

"Why are you asking then? Come here and do the needful." He said making me frown.

"Where is the person who said 'do what you are hired for'?" I muttered and went to massaged his forehead.

"Still here. But you have tendency of having things your way then who am I to deny it? You became my cook, nanny, tenant... All these without my wish, obviously nanny apart. Now be my masseuse." He said and gestured me to start the massage.
