The three above will be introduced shortly, but in order from left to right (Or tallest to shortest), these people are Gina's Uncle, Older Brother, and Aunt (Mother's Older Sister)  :)

This photo is obviously from the anime Free, of that Rin guy (I have yet to watch it, TmT)

I just spent a half-hour going through chapters where I previously mentioned Gina's family, only to realize I never even went into depth of them at all TwT I just wasted so much energy XD

-Y/n's POV-

"Just keep your attention on me, okay?" I instructed Gina, her hand holding mine tightly as the male nurse from earlier held her arm out.

She nodded, her eyes looking down at the hospital bed she and I sat on. She had refused to look me in the eye since our meeting in the hallway.

Looking back towards the nurse, I watched as he prepped the needle, moving it towards the brunette hesitantly.

"Since when are you so afraid of needles?" I questioned, attempting to distract her as the nurse poked her arm, taking the blood sample that was needed as Gina hissed slightly, "I never heard you complain about them before,"

Feeling her handshake in mine, I gently rubbed my thumb crossed her knuckles, my eyes drifting down to her arms, small bruises littering her forearms. Having not answer yet, I refocused back onto the girl, the nurse quickly wrapping up and placing a small bandage on her arm, also taking note of the bruising.

Feeling her hand let go of mine, she held her arm protectively, examining the bandage carefully, her hand running over it softly.

'Maybe she doesn't want to talk about it,' As I watched her, I couldn't help but wonder what to say to her, 'How are you even supposed to react in a situation like this?'

"How..." Hearing her voice, I could just feel how much it strained her to talk, her words seemed tired and afraid, "How long has it been?"

Clearing my throat, I placed my hands in my lap, playing with my fingers before I spoke, "Almost four months now,"

She nodded once again, the silence combing over us as the nurses filled out of the room, taking the test to the lab.

Dropping my attention back down to the girl's hands,  I watched as she played with her hospital gown, the pink dots that littered it seemed dull compared to the bright white fabric on the bedsheets.

Trying to wrap my head on how to now interact with my friend, I sighed heavily.

'What am I even supposed to say to her? Hey! I'm glad you aren't dead! Wanna talk about the hell you were just dragged out of?'

Seeing a small droplet splash against the girl's hands, my eyes widened slightly, quickly looking back up to Gina as her shoulders bounced, her eyes shut closed as hot tears streamed down her face. Her hands hastily reached up, roughly wiping away the falling tears as she let out a choked sob.

"H-hey!" I panicked, reaching my hand out, resting it against her arms, her body jerking back at the sudden contact, "It's alright, you don't need to-"

"I-I'm so sorry," She hiccuped, her voice breaking as she kept her eyes closed.

Feeling my shoulders drop, I felt the pit in my stomach grow seeing the short-haired girl so broken.

"I never meant to hurt you guys," She sobbed.

I reached out for her hand, trying to comfort her, "You didn't have a choice, Gina," I eased, rubbing her shoulder before pulling her into my chest. Her head buried itself in my neck like before as she cried heavily.
