I'll give him points for trying but I could tell from the moment he got back that he was exhausted, Legend tried to power through it but when he took about three bites of the lasagna I made I knew he was done for. I appreciate him trying to stay up and have a conversation with me though, even if he kept dozing off but now that he was asleep I could just lay next to him and watch. Legend usually kept his emotions in check, rarely did I ever see him get angry, even when he was threatening J'Wayne earlier, Legend's face was completely calm.... but in his sleep, it was a different story. In his sleep, you could read Legend like a book and you could always tell what kind of dream he was having.... tonight was a good night as a serene smile spread across his face as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. For me this was when the universe was in perfect balance, I didn't have to worry about anything except for the dude lying next to me.... everything else melted away; the fake friends, the nosy neighbors, the potential job opportunity that laid before me.... none of it was important.... just these quiet moments spent with my dude.

"I'm up, I'm up....." Legend said sitting up quickly and looking around my room as if he was trying to figure out where he was. "Ayy who was calling me?" He asked looking around with a confused look on his face. And it took everything in me not to punch him, because him jumping up like that scared the fuck outta me.

"No one was calling you Legend...." I said placing my hand on his shoulder, he looked at me for a second and shook his head.

"I've been working entirely too hard.... I can't tell you the last time I actually took a break, even when I went o visit my parents I was working.... I can't wait for our trip." He said covering his mouth as he let out a quiet yawn.

"I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to go, I got this interview coming up in a few days and if I get the job I'm not sure if I'll be able to take the time off." I said and Legend turned to me and smiled.

"See that's what I love about you.... even though you don't have to work, you choose to. But you don't have a choice in the matter about this trip, we need to get away and take our first vacation together as a couple... I'll pop up at your job if I have to and beg.... I'm not too proud, but I really want you to come." Legend said.

"We'll see but there always the possibility that I won't be able to com....." Before I could finish Legend started kissing me.

"Don't think like that.... think positive. Now tell me about your day, no offense but it's kinda repetitive so I know it'll put me right back to sleep." He said laughing as I punched him in the chest. "Aight man, chill out...." He said pushing me on the bed and laying his head on my chest, and before I could even start he was snoring lightly on my chest and all I could do was shake my head, though I wouldn't trade this feeling for anything in the world............

"What are you doing?" Bam asked from the doorway, I thought he had left and now I had to think of a lie as to why I was sneaking around his room. "Come on Cody, you know I've never been sloppy enough to leave evidence of my crimes lying around." Bam said walking into the room.

"So you and Legend were out committing crimes.... that's good to know." I said rolling my eyes as Bam sat on the bed and kicked his shoes off. "Braedon... I told y'all to leave that situation with Keyair and Saquon alone.... if you ignore them they'll go away." I said looking at him.

"Aight nigga, don't use my government name.... ever. And I was just playing about committing a crime, your dude was helping me house hunt... since I'll be staying a while and I refuse to be in the house where I can hear my cousins getting fucked I figured I'd get out of y'alls hair as soon as possible." Bam said.

"Wait you're staying?" I asked trying to hide my horror.

"Of course, I promised I'd leave the situation with your two 'friends' alone... but them niggas that jumped up, yeah, there's nothing you can say that'll get me to fall back from that situation." Bam said seriously. "Aight now that we got that squared away... get the fuck out my room so I can take a shower. Oh and Cody.... creepin ain't cute, if you wanna know what your nigga is up to just ask him, you're looking for trouble where there is none." Bam said standing up and walking over to the door basically dismissing me from a room in my own damn house.
