Icon dipped, good riddance because I was close to beating the fuck outta him and then I'd have to hear my parents' mouth; Legend and Jizzle were texting each other back and forth, my dad was fuming and my mom was close to tears. They should've expected this, you can't have three strong personalities in the same room and not expect drama, add in the fact that they all hate each other and honestly my parents should just take the dub and be happy that there weren't any fights, to me that was progress. Anyway, I had done what I was told, I had come to this damn dinner and now I was about to leave because I had some important business to handle, I got up from the table and walked into the kitchen and pulled a couple of storage containers and started filling them up with food. Once I was done I turned around and saw my dad standing behind me, his eyes said very little but the message was clear; he wanted to talk so I followed him into the backyard and waited, I knew he was about to go off because of this failed dinner. I really hoped I didn't get blamed for this shyt because Legend and Icon were the ones going at it, I mainly just sat back and watched the shyt unfold before me.

"You remind me a lot of my big brother Alexander." My dad said referring to his older twin brother. "That nigga refuses to admit when he's wrong, even to his own detriment. I remember when we were like sixteen and we were learning how to drive, that nigga swore up and down that I ran over his dog. Alex loved that fuckin dog.... that was one of only three times I saw my brother really cry."

"And did you kill the dog?" I asked and my dad smiled.

"Nah our grandma.... your great-grandma did, honestly she shouldn't have been driving in the first place but even when he found out that it wasn't me he still blamed me because I shouldn't have left the door open. He didn't stop being mad at me until I introduced him to Diana, his future wife... may she rest in peace." My dad said.

"So what you're saying is you don't think that Legend or Icon had anything to do with Eileen and Elisha's murders and I need to stop blaming them for something they MAY not have had a hand in?" I asked.

"Come on Epic you know damn well Legend NOR Icon did that shyt... and while you were so busy pointing the finger at your brothers the REAL person who could've been behind their deaths is running around watching y'alls dumbasses war with each other." My dad said and I stood there quietly thinking.... I knew in my gut that one or both of them had a hand in my family's murder and nothing no one could say would change that. "You damn Tauruses are stubborn as fuck! Epic you were in the middle of a bloody war for control of this city, have you ever stopped and thought that maybe somewhere along the line YOU fucked up? Everyone gets sloppy son."

"I think about it, everyday dad... I did fuck up, I fucked up by thinking that for once Legend and Icon would act like my brothers and protect my family and in turn, all I got was two caskets.... Look I gotta go, I'll call you later." I said walking back into the house to find my mom still sitting at the dinner table with a blank expression on her face. "I love you...." I said kissing her on the cheek.

"They're your brothers Epic...." She said so quietly that I could've easily pretended not to hear her as I walked out of the house. After leaving my parent's house I went to the nightclub I owned, it was still pretty packed for a Sunday night but then again having the bar right outside of Ohio State's campus kept me in business. I walked up to my office and opened the door where three men were waiting for me; Yasin, Kooda, and my best friend Midnight.

"Frenchie's not picking up... and I haven't seen him all weekend." Midnight said and I suppressed a smile, I knew exactly where Frenchie was... or rather I knew exactly who he was with I'm not going to lie it took a few hours for it to click but when it did all I could do was laugh. Them niggas tried to keep their relationship on the DL but I've been known about that shyt and the only reason I allowed it to continue was because I felt like Murda could be used in the future.
